Trying to figure out if I can use a regular Ram truck like a friend mine has or if I need to hire someone again to hull it out for me to a different spot.
Very nice documentation of a red shouldered hawk - that is definitely a red shouldered hawk. It sounds like they are doing territorial calling. Here is a tip - if you hear that kind of calling during nesting season, start backing away fast - they are warning you that you are too close and will attack you - several of my neighbors and myself have been scraped by talons from furious red shouldered hawk parents. And don't bank on warning calls, the female doesn't waste her valuable time warning, she just attacks. 😬
It looks and sounds like a Red-shouldered Hawk. Light colored head and white spots on the back of the wings are indicators of a Red-shouldered Hawk. Great catch, in the Bay Area they are much less common than Red-tailed Hawks.

awwww...maaaan! Grew up my whole life in santa rosa but moved to redwood city after we lost house in tubbs fire 2017. Bodega bay is my place! sadly my dad died before he could ever fulfill his promise to take me fishing for salmon out on bodega so its great to see it from your POV. I was watching it on my phone and the picture was small and I basically saw the head and listened to the lap of the ocean. Looking back at it, it is definitely a seal. I have seen plenty of seals lounging and playing and swimming.
@@allenevans50 lol, that's a new one and thank you! I have been watching seals in Namibia being rescued from fishing lines and other junk. But they have been mostly on the beach. They don't much have the sound of the ocean in their videos. I sure miss the California beaches as I grew up there and go back when I can.
We had an absolutely amazing time!Food and beach are just minutes away.I highly suggest renting a golf cart.It gives you the freedom to come and go as you please.The 360 Splendor views are just stunning.
