    What is the rough cost to have this done ? Do you have a shop I can reach out to?

    • @JaysIphoneRepairs
      @JaysIphoneRepairs หลายเดือนก่อน

      £45 is the approximate price to get it fixed at a local UK shop. Some charge £30, some charge £60, and many charge inbetween. It is possible to do it yourself to save some money, but it requires the right tools and preferably some repair experience too. We don't currently have a storefront. At the moment we focus on buying faulty/smashed devices and fixing/reselling them in our spare time. In the near future we will be accepting repairs via postal service or local drop off/collection. Thanks for the comment

    What does ESD gear do?

    • @JaysIphoneRepairs
      @JaysIphoneRepairs หลายเดือนก่อน

      ESD equipment is essential for repairing electrical devices to a professional standard. It stands for electro static discharge and the equipment/tool is designed to stop you from passing on static electricity to the device you are fixing. The thing with static electricity damage is that, your device may become faulty weeks after the repair, and you’ll never know if it was static that caused it or not. Devices that have static damage may not show faults until weeks later. For the small price to pay for esd tools and esd gear, it’s a good idea to use them not only for peace of mind but for less return rates on your repairs, and as a result, happier customers & higher profits. How do you Avoid damaging any of the back parts with that blade?

    • @JaysIphoneRepairs
      @JaysIphoneRepairs หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need to heat up the rear glass just enough for the adhesive to go soft, with a high quality hot air station you can set the temperature and airflow to get best results. Once it’s heated up the blade slides through much easier, which means you don’t have to push super hard and risk slipping or damaging anything. I also like to memorise the rear panel of iPhones without the rear glass on; some models have gaps in the metal housing where you can easily slice a flex cable or the battery if you aren’t careful. As long as you are careful and know where these areas are, you shouldn’t make any mistakes. That’s not forgetting the wireless charging coil too, which is always in the same place and easier to get the glass off in this area compared to the metal parts. Thanks for the comment 👍
