Waterskiing - the Ultimate Gopro rope mount
มุมมอง 3.6K12 ปีที่แล้ว
Haupapa Bay on Lake Rotoehu(Bay of Plenty, NZ). Gropro is mounted in/on a bracket on long V rope to handle. Makes the rope a bit heavy so hard to cut really hard - but hey you get the idea. My first go with this mount so will try for lower turns next time. Nice water but only a short run. (music by Tiki).

Sure would like to know what engine you used
350 chev
Great race!!! Squirt wins! is it build by Polish?
Yes I am half Polish from my dad
Floaty back door to solve the sinking.. I make a hydrofoil setup on mine so that the mount cuts through the water and protects the camera from the hits.. good vid gotta cure those small quick shakes.. messes with the camera processing it looks like gets a lil jumpy..
Awesome boat! It's really beautiful. A couple of questions: What led you to build that one instead of an alternative (say, the Riviera or Monaco)? What is involved in "marinising" an engine? I have a Dodge 318 laying around, and I would like to use it in my project.
Now that is a boat!
Thanks! Do you have a build thread or pics of the build?
Excellent boat! What motor are you running and what length did you build it?
Na it doesn't
Beautiful boats! Hard to believe you built them yourself!
Great video and beautiful boat!
Yes Jaco, it snaps off if you don't mount it correctly, and the camera sinks!! I'm so bummed, my brother lost his in 10 feet of water, the bottom is black and silty like powder. I was gonna scuba to find it, but I don't think we will find it ever! PLEASE put a short video on here of your mounting that you used for this video! Thanks so much!! There arent many videos Showing safe and effective mounting techniques!
I made an "L" shaped mounting bracket from timber Just wider than the camera) and the ropes go through the vertical part of the bracket - as I hold the handle at an angle I offset the holes through the bracket plus added 2 more short ropes to the opposing corners to stabilize the bracket. this vertical part protects the camera when you fall or let go. the camera is mounted on the horizontal part of the bracket. I will post a short clip of it.
doesnt it break off when you fall?
very cool!!
