Riding my 2025 Cervelo S5 100kms around Albert Park Lake
So I recently purchased a new road bike to change up my fitness, what better excuse than to ride around the lake on a perfect Melbourne morning!

Installing Coilovers in my BMW E46 (Maxpeedingrods)
มุมมอง 16K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I decided to get some coilovers for the E46. It wouldn't be a budget drift build without some bad boy Maxpeedingrods coilovers ! Don't forget to hit the thumbs up! FOLLOW: @codys888 on Instagram CSMedia15 Music: www.bensound.com
That’s a lot of laps round and round Albert Park! No elevation like you say, but that does mean you’re on the pedals basically the whole time, no coasting!
It was definitely a challenge for a below average cyclist like myself, great fun though!
Where/how did you mount the GoPro? I'd like the same angle from my V2
Hey mate, just mounted the go pro mount to the big bolt hole on the triple clamp
Hey mate, hows the reliability of these bmw's? are they bad as everyone says been thinking of getting one or maybe a e36 if theres any, cheers!
the bottom bolt rubs on the coilover for mine and it won’t get through
U need to lower more at front
That's awesome footage!!
Thanks man!
Great work mate 😉 looks like a perfect day 👌
how long did they last? or how are they holding up at the moment? thank you !
I’ve now sold the car but they held up great. Just a stiff ride. But that’s what you get from any coilover really.
Looks good mate👍 I note you kept the standard front sway bar links as they could be replaced with shorter ones but it would appear you have no issues with the standard ones. I have a 328i - same colour and I’m thinking of doing the same upgrade 👍🧰🔧
I have the same car,and the same coilovers.Did you take out the adjusters on the rear springs
Do you have problems if you drive more?
no drives good
Good work bro
thanks man
You don't use the coil spring for ride height you use the shock spring is for preload that why these get bad reviews because of the install
but I am a mekanik
Is the damping adjustable? Is the softest damping equal to oem ride quality?
adjustable. but not equal to OEM ride qual
Hey mate. When you removed the rear collar and just used the spring, did you notice that it was either sitting on the shocks bumpstop, or the rear trailing arm was bottoming out on the body? The springs compress heaps when the car is back Down on the floor and you literally only have an inch of suspension travel before you either hit the bump stop or the arm bottoms out. What did you find?
Did you max out the front and back?
Also did you end up using the rear adjusters or did you not use them?
@@jackson2073 can you just not use them?will it be bad for the car??
Yo nice e46... Does your steering wheel feel heavy after coilovers ?? mine is very heavy i got only lowered springs
driving on coilovers is definelty a different feel, however I can't remember if it felt heavier after install
Were you able to test them on a track day meanwhile?
yeah for cheap coilovers there pretty good
would they fit in a 328i e46
Yes they would
I know it's been a while since you have installed these and I was curious how you felt about them now that you have had some time on them? What are your thoughts? Thanks 🙂 I picked up a cheap e46 that I'm cleaning up and the struts are blown and need replaced. I've been looking at these, as well as the raceland ultimas, and maybe riaction (bit more $$$ though)
Honestly there pretty rough... but for a $300 coilover or however cheap they were i thought they were really good value... if you just bought a cheap e46 id get these. if your looking to build a nice cruiser that you want to spend money on to clean up than id probably go something else. just depends what your vision for the car is. You do pay for what you get.
@@codys888 thanks for the info :) Ya I just picked up a '00 328ci that was in decent shape for $700 ( bad waterpump) I fixed it and got lucky that the head wasn't warped lol. It's got lowering springs right now but the front struts are blown. The rears are good and are even bilsteins! I'm thinking I'm just going to get a set of koni sport struts for the front and run those for a bit and start putting money on the side for a good set of bc or kw coilover in the future.
I got the uodsted version coming in. They have a damper.
Any weird clicking when you turn the steering wheel?
nah not for me mate
Hey bro, i got a weird clicking noise when i turn the steering wheel. Have u found a solution yet to this?
@@JulianRodriguez-lq8mf I didn't end up going with these coil overs. I don't hear any clicking with my suspension. Im using Lodshocks
Just bought e46 325i. How are they still riding?
@Hue Black do you live around salted roads cause a lot of people are saying they get rusted real quick
@Hue Black ya so yours will probably be fine
they were good for me, no real complaints. at the end of the day you get what you pay for
How many inches do these drop
all of the inches
How have these held up
Hey mate seem to be doing well, keep in mind due to lock down I've only done around 1500kms. My left front coilover keeps coming lose though. So after a few more thousand ks I'll upload a impressions video
Hey bro. Thanks for the vid. Btw, hows the ride on these coilovers..? Is it stiff or bouncy or comfort..? Please share a honest reveiw as there 50/50 good bad mixed reviews. And to me if the strut coming loose after a while could be a deal breaking for me. Anyways waiting for ur reply.. ✌
Cody Smith maybe some thread lock?
