Immense gratitude and respect to folks at WWP for relentlessly playing the long game to protect wild natural lands and the native species that inhabit them in the western USA.

Thanks for this presentation. As hempy said below, staggering!!

There is an immense amount of clearcut in the designated Oregon portion of the map. It's already seriously damaged and cutting/spraying continues daily. Perhaps a more granular view would show it. My concern is that overall Oregon lands are trending the wrong way.

Very good overview of coexisting and rewilding! How can we possibly get such a enormous population of humans to appreciate anything other than their stomachs and egos? Thank you for your commitment and ongoing efforts!

Couldn't you fundraise to buy the vacant grazing allotments?

Very disappointing but not surprised. Typical outcome with the ranchers and our public land. BLM is a prostitute for the ranchers, and forest service is division of USDA. At least in "Wilderness area" there laws that can be used in court to win the fight. I think the BEST thing is to "Retire" and Remove grazing allotment PERMANENTLY. And I love cattle, I have "Resuced cattle", their species been "CURSED' by the 'White Man' for being the 'GOD GIVEN steward" of the grassland..."White man" wanted ALL THE LAND .(colonizer).

Glad to view this because I Missed the initial presentation. Very well done, folks. Wilderness tales almost always depress me. I find it sickening how the government agencies overseeing the wilderness areas management fail to execute that management according to the statute. I blame the land management agencies more that the permittees. I witnessed the damage to the Gila Wilderness back in the late 00s. Cow pies and hammered riparian areas were the common.

And thank you for discussing briefly the question of inductive conclusions, and the Bayesian model in the Coates et al study in the science regarding the wild horses issue. We all need to get a handle on these things. Not just nod and agree with the headlines and press releases. Doing so doesnt help the sage grouse, because it's important to get to the real causes behind sage grouse decline.
