Can it please stop? Jokes aside, this felt bad on Mel Axe mostly, but I might not do another surface run in a while

Hey there! Try to practice it by holding the Attack button down as you dash. That way, the attack's direction can be repositioned, you can test it by doing a 360 degree rotate without dashing, then perhaps practice it by tilting the stick the moment after dashing. If it's too hard to do since people usually do both face buttons, it might be important to note that I have Dash on L1 for my controller in case I wanna go hybrid setup (left side of controller + mouse)

Charon's relatively harder now that it has less defensive options and a higher commitment time to moves, but people in Supergiant's Discord, myself included, can help you push 32 with some advice and stuff. Feel free to drop by, it's more fun than you think.

@Myntkaramell I truly wish that I'd done Charon axe 32 fear before this patch. I'm struggling hard now without the time slow down on omega. Not to mention no block on axe special either. I didn't realize they'd add a new biome/boss in October, or else I would have tried to attempt 32 in underworld and surface months ago. How do you join said discord?

This'll be something I'm not going to finish for now, it's still kinda rough and Olympus is pretty imbalanced still with the spawnrate of really chunky enemies that are dps checks in essence. Perhaps with a 4th region out, they'll make it less painful to deal with? Feels worse than Tart, honestly.

I've no clue, but it seems like it's some weird issue regarding the enemy groups. You know how the enemies attack each other based on affiliation up there? Might be that I just killed the last of one group, then the second group of spawns were from the other.

Hi there! Try to do some for fun runs to get them. For the dog, you'll find it in Echo's room. There, you pet it once, and can get it the second time. It does have a prerequisite, which is finding Raki, the Raven, in the hidden fountain room in Erebus. You can reset the run until you get that since it's just in Erebus, anyway. Hecate has to give you permission to allow being bonded to her pet dog (Hecuba), so make sure you get that event first. As for the Purging Fountains, sell all 3 boons on display in the Tart one. I think it needs 3 total lifetime sells to unlock the incantation, but best just sell all 3 in your for fun run.

It's very good, yes. Sadly, the split missiles don't work with Poseidon Waves. Would have been really cracked. You get the idea well enough, though, this weapon thrives with Static Shock on all the aspects.

if you're talking about turning the Minor Reward (resource) into a Major one (God boon/money/HP, etc), you'll need the Artificer Arcana for it.

Hi there! Honestly, if you hate the weapon then you might be better off going Persephone instead. The weapon itself is very safe and lends itself towards playing around your Cast to charge up Glory, then doing long invulnerable Omega Specials. Give it a go with Zeus Keepsake start and aim for Storm Ring, then find Hera for the Special. You also want Lightning Lance from Zeus. Other than that, you can just go build support/defensive, as you're pretty much all set. Arcana setup: 1, 4-7, 9-13, 15-16, 18, 22 Unseen is usually enough for your MP regen, so anything else you find is just extra help, as you mostly Omega Cast and only Omega Special later on. Make sure to use your Artificer charges. I have a video up on it as well if you care to see the playstyle.

Hiya! The usual setup for runs is For attacking variants; Huntress, Furies, Titan, Messenger, Unseen, All of Row 3, Fates, Artificer, Champions. For Charon and Persephone; Replace Huntress and Messenger with Sorceress and Night For Mel and Eos Torches; Huntress, Furies, Titan, Messenger, Unseen, All of Row 3 except Origination, Fates, Artificer, Champions. If you see any running Strength, I made space for it by moving stuff around, usually Furies and Huntress or whatnot.

Hiya, my Arcana setup for this run was; Huntress, Furies, Titan, Messenger, Unseen, All of Row 3 except Origination, Fates, Artificer, Champions. I was told only after this by really good Moros players that I didn't need Unseen, and Origination would have made me win a lot easier. Probably go with that, as Unseen was a leftover I had from Mel and Eos Torches.

The Tempus did more damage because I had Mirrored Thrasher, the Hammer that makes all my attacks strike twice on each button press, but it makes me take 30% more damage from all sources. My main issue with deciding to die and letting the Moros keepsake heal me is that I'm almost never entirely sure when I'm fighting the last enemy of the room. I don't wanna risk it too much unless I'm sure, and I've kinda been punished for it too much.

@@Myntkaramell Yeah, I figured it had to do with the hammer (because I saw you take it) but the damage just seemed waaay more than I would've expected even with that hammer. And I feel you on the moros keepsake. The battles are sometimes frenzied and it's difficult to keep track of which wave of enemies you're on.

My usual setup for this weapon (and any non-omega attacking weapon) is, in order; Huntress, Furies, Titan, Messenger, All of Row 3, Fates, Artificer, Champions You see me running Strength here, but it's not the norm, it was a leftover from my Medea Skull attempts, which you can see me swapping from at the start, which needed me to remove Huntress and Furies for it, if I recall correctly. I don't recommend that for this weapon.

@@Myntkaramell That seems like all the important stuff. Just a couple of changes for Omega weapons, I assume?

@@Brentyfr3sh for certain aspects, you may need to change stuff out entirely. For Charon, you just take off Huntress and Messenger for Sorceress and Night. For some Torches and Persephone, you kind of need to find space to fit Unseen for that mp regen.

Thanks! Taking any side room makes the further Roman Numeral'd rooms a lot harder by spawning even more enemies, yes. I try not to take Hades rooms unless I'm on something that perhaps wants Howling Soul and I have a reroll or 3 to spare for it. It's something to consider when against Vow of Commotion Level 3, which spawns 60% more enemies.

Engagement Ring is definitely the new hotness, yeah. At this level of Fear, I try to force Trusty Shield or Mint Condition, yeah. Vow of Suffering gets absorbed by Armour and doesn't overflow into your main HP, so it's always handy to have.

@@Myntkaramell I can see it after Rama was one of the first weapons to do 60 fear in Hades 1. Hitch both does a ton to get around damage shields and is effectively an absolutely massive independent multiplier that scales with both enemy count and AoE, and works on all damage. Thank goodness for the "hitch damage on death" change.

It's a great change, yeah. I do miss how Rama also made you do more damage to the main target you're striking, but that might be a bit too strong here. Perhaps a Hera legendary with that would be interesting. That being said, I do think Engagement Ring will be nerfed next patch, so might as well get your runs in lol

Ahah, the cast is indeed very important with this weapon, yeah. As for me choosing to go Storm Ring, it's just because I think winning with the currently broken Engagement Ring on all three would seem kinda tacky, no? Also, I find Zeus to be really good on Staff, as Storm Ring + Blitz on Attack work really nicely together, too. I didn't get that as Scorch presented itself, but that or Hail Storm would have been what I was originally aiming for.
