I think it's because the word men is unmarked, it basically means human than a man specifically whereas women is marked meaning it describes a specific gender.

This video is very informative. It is rather unfortunate that the audio disturb the chance to enjoy this lecture more. I think it would be much better if the speaker does not speak too close to the mic.

Sir, by mental process do you mean the biological way in which information is interpreted?For instance,if we see an object are we studying the process of how it goes to the occipital lobe and the information is understood?
