Im learning about salmon in my school
Good
excellent
Amazing video!
The video on all that is being done by the CHBC is a welcome method to keep people iinformed about your activities. Thank you for your collective efforts.
Wonderful Event!!
Very, very nicely done presentation. I was not aware of the research, management and activities of the Cascade Head Collaborative. Production values on this program are excellent both creatively and technically. I would like to see additional programs on the experiential activities. This is a powerful effort by citizens, politicians, Siletz tribe members, and the scientific experts.
INCREDIBLE!!!!
I've seen the salmon so thick that it looks like you can walk across the river on their backs and I'm only 62 years old.
Great coverage! Thanks!!
Thanks for the feedback and watching these.
What kind of paper you used here please?
i saw other videos they use rice paper
Natives do not use the same ways to catch salmon as their ancestors. Their ancestor is never had gas and diesel-powered vessels
Use less water? Foh.
They die so their bodies can bring back special nutrients to the surrounding land from the ocean.
pretty sad hearing the 6% part. gonna do what i can in the future to help lots of these beautiful fish grow and thrive
Keep dreaming about Alaska!😳🤪🤣
i could swear that river was in Scotland lol
that's epic
Thanks!
Salmon may the in the family of Salman of Saudi Arabia. But Salma is a daughter of my neighbor in Medan long ago. She was included in the last I saw her vagina long ago. But it was wind which brought me to see her.
I'd love to start a salmon fish farm, probably have to move to the south.
Salmon population life of salmon in the ocean salmon lay there eggs and then they die we don't know why though.🐟🐟🐟🏞
We should bring back salmon back in the Rhine, lot of work to do but it would be great
🥰👍🏼👍🏼
They talk about the King salmon runs in alaska being decimated. Especially on western rivers. It's pretty obvious that for an animal that spends 6 years of its life at sea and depends on magnetic imprinting to return to its river of birth that a pole moving 40 miles a year (240 miles north during a king salmon lifecycle) it's easy to see that they are simply getting lost by the rapidly moving navigational aid
I am from Alaska then made my living guiding fishermen from South central AK to the copper river system. The problem in Alaska was caused by all corruption between out of state commercial fishing and state fisheries leaders and the criminal KKK communist AK democrats who openly at meetings take envelopes of money for bribes from canneries execs and wealthy commercial fishermen at the winter fishery's meetings where fish harvest amounts are set. During the breaks the restrooms are full of top cannier employees with envelopes of cash for the state fishery's members and it isn't even trying to hide the bribing of state fishery's managers and the discussions between cannier employees and commercial fishermen and state fishery's managers can be stunning of asking for more fishing time to cutting off all sports fishing to give more salmon to the commercial fishermen. One year the evil corrupted AK fishery's top manager waited until June to cut off all sports fishing knowing it was the peak start of summer fishing tourism to cause so much trouble for tourist fishermen they wouldn't come back to Alaska. Then when sports fishing was close the AK fishery manager opened the commercial fish to no limit fishing but said to us sports fishermen there wasn't the number of salmon for reproducing so he closed the sports fishing. Well yeah 1 commercial fishing net for 1 drop in the water catches 2 years of what sports fishermen catch. This fishery corruption leads all the way up the political chain right to the criminal KKK communist democrats in Alaska. In 2013 the state fishery manager cut off all sports fishing in Cook Inlet and steams with the lie there wasn't enough salmon for sports fishing by he opened the commercial fishing for the whole summer with no quotas on catch of salmon. In the fall this state fishery manager who is on a state salary of $80.000 mysteriously ended up with a 2-million-dollar home and a new red Lamborghini Countach sports car. What also the public doesn't know is Canada commercial fishing take 85% of the salmon for the US west coast in the adult salmon return home. The Canadians know exactly the travel routs of salmon that fallow the currents of favorable in temperatures and food so the Canadian hammer on the salmon hard when returning home to Oregon - Washington.
I think u might be lost actually
This series was amazing ! my friend Huey really enjoyed it
Thank you!
Silly Salmon
Salmon are amazing.
Only God who created salmon knows the reason!
I want thiese story
Very good. Answer the question in the title or change it.
She did. Watch and listen properly 😊
Enhancement of flora and fauna is the subject i've got to share with you hoping that i can be of help. I really feel good if you guys have done these already; if not, at least you have an input from me which either you can adapt or not to adapt. Here we go: Solam is about safety relative to your work in the mountain as well as the flora and fauna thereat. Solar is almost the same in scope that is only being done on the river. Solar? that will be the next for me to say next time...For the meantime, i'm gonna let you think about it. have a nice day
❤111
¹
Yeah, i mentioned last time about solas, solar and solam if you can still remember. Well, this is only my idea hoping that i can contribute for the enchancement and sustainability of your salmon preservation and production. Actually, my ideas are all taken from what i have learned from your narratives and also from raindrop to sea presentation i have watched earlier.
Fabulous. And great salmon.
Thanks Robert!
Well, i don't want to be viewed as hero out of my little effort for the purpose of awareness of every one relative to the status of our river. I'm happy to see that my research have resulted a bit of change to our river..Nowadays, it's now prohibited to cut trees along the river and in the mountain in my place. I'm a bit happy about it, but i think we still need to plant more trees this time to further enhance the environment and for climate change mitigation. Have a good day!
Hi, good day! Next time i'm going to discuss a bit about solas, solar and solam for fun. Hopefully these could be of help. hahah i enjoy watching the videos...thanks!
Mountain is always link to sea. If we protect the mountain, in doing so, we protect the sea... Trees mitigate global warming. They improve the quality of water in the rivers, prevent air and water pollution and erosions, prevent floodings and produce oxygen rich air for both animals and human beings. Above all, they delay climate change. Trees rules is very significant for a more balance water cycle... The so called: evaporation, condensation, precipitation, infiltration, precolation and perspiration are influenced in a big way by trees density in the mountain...More trees are needed to enhance salmon production as well as other wild lifes natural propogation in their habitat... Let's go plant more of them for our survival. Thank you and have a good day!!! haha
Yeah, i agree, salmons are superheroes. Ecobalancers and wonderful source of food, my term given to them. They return everything what they have that is very beneficial to human as well as to their place of origin. Well, i've learned a lot from you. Out of your lectures ma'am, i was able to make a riddle for fun...hahaha. Here we go: if a male deer is used to breed with a female chicken, what will be the offsprings? This is not an ordinary riddle for any one to answer. Just like samson's riddle with phillistines in the bible. male deer (buck)+( 2 months breeding time) with female chicken(hen)= salmons ( either chinnok, coho, chum, pink, sock eye & etc) Isn't that amazing? hahah I figure out that here in my country, there are so many disagreements and debates if i'm going to let anyone answer it or if i give the answer myself. In that case, to end the discussion, I'll just tell them to open cascade head bio marine episode 2 to enable 'em to know the answer themselves. Yeah, snorkeling is one of my past time to watch aquatic animals in their natural habitat. I have my spear gun for protection or to catch a fish for home. Now i can do it easily by watching from your salmon superhero episodes and raindrops to sea videos. Thank you and have a good day!
As I watch your video, the river you are using for your presentation is real amazing...In terms of water quality, I believe that it is very ideal for salmons habitat. Well, here in the Philipines, we have so many species of fish to catch all year long. The problem we have here is, there's no government programs and strict implementation of legislations for the protection of our inland seas lakes and rivers. I had a research earlier regarding our river status, pollution, and restoration which I presented in an international research forum to bring to the attention of participants and our government the real condition of many of our rivers here. Keep up the good... I love rivers. I'm a nature lover. Stay safe... God bless!
Thanks for sharing your passion for the natural world. Habitat protection comes from efforts of an informed populous which you are helping to create with your research and voice. All the best from the this side of the Pacific.
Exactly... Actually i had made and presented three more follow up research relative to our river. They are: Water analysis of water, waste disposal of communities along the river and legislation and ordinances for the protection of the river. Siltation is the main problem due to soil erosion and landslide caused by heavy rain and primarily due to cutting of tress on the mountain. So, serious implementation of ordinances for the river protection should be carried out from all sectors of society. I'm somewhat disappointed for the lack of support from the government. I wish we have a river like yours even without salmon. hahaha..We have tropical climate though. Thank you...
I'm toni. Your salmon conservation effort is admirable. That's must be the right mindset. We need to protect our natural resouces..
Thanks Toni! We have this 5-part Secret Life of Salmon series and a Watershed Series if you are also interested. Here is a link th-cam.com/play/PLt_R8GzbuH2Ad4O-z8K3XB8X0C6yHpo8m.html
Sure, i love to have a copy that 5-part... Since i really love rivers and sea, I'm going to down that for my file...Thank for informations regarding salmons cycle and their environment. Salmon is pretty amazing fish. Too bad, we don't have it here in our country. Take care!
Since i love to see rivers and its natural environment, i can go fishing the whole day even without any catch just to enjoy the outdoor. Have fun on your river...
Good day! Can i call marjorie ma'am? That's how i've heard you name in your introduction in your episode 1. Please correct me if I' m wrong. Thanks, i have opened already the "Raindrop to sea" that narates about water cycle and enhancement of water quality conducive to salmon growth, better production and for flora and fauna in your reservation area in general. I agree that we need to protect our mountains inorder to protect our sea... I think this is one of practices needed for global warming mitigation. More trees in our mountains and hills and forest, plus reforestation, reduction of the use of fossil fuel and etc. can slow down the global warming phenomenon. I really enjoy watching your video presentation, " Salmon, the superhero." I feel I'm just snorkling on your salmon river. It is very nice and intertaining. Again thank you ma'am!
That is GOD made them, and all the other animals
It is amazing stroy^^
Thanks for watching
Just some random fisherman researching salmon; in particular when they sleep. Never found out. Also if you guys ever head to Vancouver Island and need a drone and pilot, let me know.
thanks for the video
Geoff, can you tell us a little about how you found us and if you are using this in a classroom setting...and if so where, what ages, etc? This was part of the NOAA B-WET Program and we are interested in the distribution of the videos. Thanks.
