Hi All, Thank you for watching our Worth Pond Restoration Video and how we transform this pond over the next few weeks. We were approached by Worth Council as we can provide a unique start-to-finish pond service and an annual maintenance plan for the village. We started by using electrical power tools to keep the noise to a minimum and eco oils for the blades etc so no effect on the environment...

Welcome to our first Video on Matfield Pond. We go through the history of the pond, how we have worked with Brenchley and Matfield Parish Council on the Pond Restoration. We go through the Invasive fish and rejuvenating Matfield Pond. Whats the history of pond? do you have more info? I can see a Fire Station opposite, maybe it was for water for them to use? Huge thank to Js Fisheries, John, Mat...
Great job and a great way of communicating to the parish what’s gone on,
I love it 😻

It's me that should be thanking you, so thank you for your vision and dedication to completing your goal.
Stunning fish those
Can't wait to catch a few!
Wow some fish - both in amount and quality
Might sound silly but what method did you use to remove the pads? We are suffering on our members lake to remove them fully without them growing back the following year. Any advice would be much appreciated
Hi Steve, we did take them out by hand, but we also found the dye stopped from growing in deeper areas too
I love what your doing . Great balance !!
Great fish !! Great video !! Thanks
Thank you
When you say all the fish do you the native fish also ? If that’s right I’m sure the environment agency are wrong there ??

And as you say , What else can you do with money , Some people pose about in cars without roofs , some hoard land or gold , Some buy expenses watches ..But your donating you time and money FREE to help the community. Well done sir , I'm sure you'll eventually get that knighthood 😘
Thank you 🙌🙏
That’s lovely, I wouldn’t mind fishing there. Nice video, well done.
Brilliant
Thank you
Beautiful place, loved the video as always 😁👍🏻👏👏
Has the lake/pond got to be drained to apply the siltex, or can it be spread on top of the water to filter down?
Hi - we hydrated limed before, we do not use siltex anymore s creates too much weed.
@@rgfisheries Thanks for responding,i’ll take on board your advice.
Very interesting indeed. Really enjoyed. Looking forward to the end product.
Nice little video of the plans and what’s to come. More hard work and vast improvements from R G Fisheries. Lots of time pressure on these shortest days of the year. Well done guys 👌 👏
I grew up in petteridge not far from here and we used to fish it loads as kids. We also used to fish petteridge lake. There was once a dagger found in matfield pond and we were told it was a murder weapon from the 1700’s 😂 Great to see the effort being made with the pond.
I would love to fish it. Are there any vacancies?
This is where I learnt to fish my nan and grandad used to live in matfield that was probably about 45years ago used to buy tackle from the little shop in the village love this place
Looks fantastic now so Matfield children can enjoy it again soon.
@@rgfisheries That’s perfect I used to love fishing the pond
Such care looking after the fish and some proper big beautiful fish
Communities need more people like you 👏👏 I hope the youth of Matfield appreciate it
Some proper bangers in there, have seen the RG signs about for a while now but didn’t realise it was a joinable members lakes, have just dropped my details on the wait list!! 🎉
Awesome video mate, this is just 15mins up the road from me, if I had seen the video earlier I would’ve been up for helping the work party, will have to keep an eye out for the next ones!
Really informative edit. Thanks! Enjoyed watching, and got a sub from me. 👍
Hard work and skill 👏!!
Excellent work guys
Lovely restoration is there going to be pike, Perch and other fish in the lake, is it done yet.?
You and the team have taken such care in the restoration. It will look amazing come spring.
There was a pond in the new forest called Janesmoor Pond, and it was free to under 17, but a lot of fish died, and they band fishing, which should be crime we need more free fishing pond like this for kids it what got me into fishing and I've never looked back but too many of these pond are get fishermen kick off them even though we take care and have a deeper connection to them it not fair.
How exciting, going to look so lovely!
crucian carp and tench pond then.
Well done guys. Fantastic job. What a great thing to do for all to benefit from 👍
Keep up the good work you can see your passion for the community and the pond looking forward to seeing it finished.
