CCP officials has no concept of how economy operates, the corrupt officials working for the themselves instead of for the people and how foreign diplomacy works, they only understand the concept of a bully and keeping their party members happy😢 They and their people scam their own people around the world and then turn around to proclaim they have the safest plc. on earth. 😢

in the past very easy to find jobs. but over the last 3 years, everyone I've known who was looking for jobs has had a very hard time. Also, it is often very difficult to connect with local Cantonese, even more so than other Chinese people.

I've lived in Hong Kong for 4 months and traveled throughout Asia. When it comes down to it, other Asian countries are much cheaper and friendlier than Hong Kong. The service is absolutely abysmal compared to countries like Japan and Thailand. The customer service in restaurants are rude and everything is closed by 10pm. If Hong Kong can fix those two issues, people will most likely recommend other people to visit Hong Kong.

You are fortunate if you are from western nation. Local people will adore you. But sadly same does not apply to non-western people. We have limited access to the glitz and the glamorous HK and restricted to almost slum like existence.

People from less developed countries have hard time finding jobs even they are qualified … very little ones are finding the jobs they are looking for otherwise the rest are all limited to low skilled jobs… and on top of that Cantonese is your advantage..

It can be affordable. Individual items aren't more expensive than things in the UK, US or Singapore but even so, the money runs like water there. Everywhere you look there are so many places to spend money and so many attractive things you would want to buy, it's almost impossible to go out without parting with some $$.
