Hey Paul, I think that the Backflip 24 now is just as good if not even better then I initially thought when I got it. When I say you can abuse this thing, I mean use it as a chair, throw it off a roof, keeps beers cold for days...zipper is bullet proof, no leaks what so ever!

@@lifeoftrent5083 thats interesting. I am thinking of using this for surf fishing in florida. I would put some frozen water bottles in it, maybe some bait and any fish I decide to keep that day. I am usually only out 4-5 hours so not worried about how long it will keep ice. I was thinking of sitting on it though to use as my beach chair. YETI states they do not recommend that but I wonder if in reality it is okay. Have you used it that way? Thank you.

Jawjuh oh yeah you’re fine to sit on it. Because it’s on softer cooler (versus the actual hard shell models) it’s not as first. But if it’s filled up pretty good with ice you can sit on it just fine!

@@lifeoftrent5083 oh okay. Thanks. Mine would not be filled up. It would have a few ice bottles and the rest waiting for fish. So I don’t know. I also want to lash some aluminum rod stakes to the side. There will be some rubbing. Hopefully it’s durable enough.

Honestly that's just the nature of soft coolers. I have this in harvest red, m30 and Ozark trail yeti style soft coolers.they all last the same 2 day .even had the 30 can rtic an it's the same ice retention. You want ice retention you definitely have to go with hard coolers.

@@Deebo99 no prob. But I was surprised as you When I used these soft cooler yetis . I was expecting 5 day ice retention because these things are 300 each lol. Now warranties are another thing ,my rtic soft cooler zipper broke and their customer service is non existent. This is one of the major reasons I went with yeti.
