distant video? not made to make people learn
Pointless video if you do not tell us the name of the heater & where you got it from 🤦🏾♀️
I wasn’t trying to sell you a product I was showing you that this system is better than a fan heater lol electriq 1500W Smart Wall Mountable Panel Heater with Thermostat
Can you do anything with a base that has been badly laid? We are in a dilema had a shocking garage base done by an amateur, which is no where near level and like 80mm lower at one end, than the highest point
I’m sure there are ways to salvage it but I’m by know means a professional, I know you can get a concrete lift or slab jack which might do the trick but I would probably use a self levelling compound to pour on top and level it out. Hope you get it sorts 🙏🏾
Where do you buy this from
From appliance direct electriq 1500W Smart Wall Mountable Panel Heater with Thermostat and Weekly Timer
@@JazzScottDIY thank you
Please give me an item model name....

Thnx brother
No worries my brother
This don’t look like it can heat shit
Really useful and to the point - thank you.
No worries at all 👌🏾
If you do anything similar again find a volumetric concrete supplier, we have one where I live, they mix it on site in the wagon and you pay for exactly what you use, genius idea and ensures you neither over or under order. It is really difficult to get it spot on as you found. Good video and good job done.
That's a great shout, thanks for the heads up as that would have been perfect
Did you apply any compound before using the tape on the joints? How is the result now after a year?
Hi mate, yes absolutely, applied before and after and its holding up perfectly. Highly recommend, I will be doing an update video soon so you'll be able to see. Its been about two years since I completed this build 👍🏾
@@JazzScottDIY Thanks. You've inspired me to have a go! I've got an exposed wall in a bedroom that doesn't look good (I think someone wanted to go 'rustic'). You've made it look straight forward enough. Did you skim the whole surface of the boards with the joint compound or just the joint? I am assuming you did but Ive read sometimes people just paint straight onto the boards.
@MSCLTD ha glad to hear it, I was surprised how straightforward it was to do. No not the whole wall just tapperd it out by around 5 - 10cm from the middle of the joint, the only down side is the dust when sanding but the up side is the money saving and the finish is just as good as plastering
What’s the wattage for the one u have?
Sorry mate, the watts on mine is 1000W but you can get the same in 1500W or 2000 watts Electriq 1500W Smart Wall Mountable Panel Heater with Thermostat and Weekly Timer
Cracking video
Concrete as wet as that would be getting refused at the gate
Hi, What blade was in the circular saw please?
Hi, so my neighbour circular saw is a bosch GKS85 and the blade is a bosch 254 x 30 optiline 24T wood blade Hope that helps
Looks quality mate. Just in the process of starting my first ever patio project. Thanks for the tips!
Cheers mate, appreciate it! Good luck with it I'm sure it will look wicked
Great video. I'm doing a similar project at the moment and busy planning the front wall to include french doors. Quick question - did you position your door frame far enough forward to allow the doors to open through 180 degrees as planned? Or do you need the door frame in line with the front cladding?
Thanks mate, much appreciated. Good luck with the build itwill be worth it. Well the doors were set as far forward as possible to the main timber frame but unfortunately it does not open 180 but I would say they open about 100-110 degrees before it catches on the cladding. Its fine for me but if I was to redo that section, I would frame the door in a thicker timber to mount the doors further forward
@@JazzScottDIY Thanks for taking the time to reply. I recall seeing another video with a secondary timber door mount to get the door further forwards - I'll have to give that some thought.
Yeah, it’s a great shout, wish I would have thought of it from the start now haha
Great work 👏
Thank you mate much appreciate. I'm sure you'll like the next video coming soon 👍🏾
No need for loud annoying music. We want to hear you clearly.
Thanks for the feedback, noted 👍🏾
You're a one evening fence wizard! Well done, and it'll look spot on once you get the last panel in 😀
Haha tell me about it, I surprised myself with this one. I had a lot of headache with getting hold of the last panel as it was during the pandemic was a nightmare Thanks again mate 👍🏾
Can i ask, when you were fitting your windows and doors, did you set them back in your frame by the 60mm your angle trim is? Looks good
No I didn’t as it’s not a standard construction, from memory I set them back around 30mm as once I add the battens to the front and then the cladding it bought it out to the 60mm insert. They are still going strong 3 years later 👍🏾
Really good. I want to make a brick tall raised garden bed in my yard, but the concrete of the floor of the yard is sloped (towards the house + into the middle).Do you (or anyone else) have any advice about how to make the base level?
Thanks really appreciate it, that's an interesting one, I've not had to do that myself (yet) but I think I would build up the lower end with a concrete in like with the base of the bed to level it off, but I guess it depends on the slope 👍🏾
Great job looks good. Just in the process of laying my first ever porcelain patio.
Thank you mate, appreciate it and good luck with the porcelain patio. Just subscribed so hope to see the finished product soon 👍🏾👊🏾
Yep, that's in. My house has plasterboard walls and I've used all kinds of fixings in the past 😂
Ahh tell me about it mate, I'm glad when its a solid wall 🤣
love this! great video and straight to the point
Thank you 🙌🏾
great video, i will definitely consider buying something in the future!
Thank you, I definitely recommend it if you're looking for something competitive and usable
I saw the original separate parts of this patio project and I must say what a nice job you made of it. Good explanations too along the way. Looks great!
Thank you, I really appreciate that, I never know if I should add more detail or keep it simple so I appreciate that 🙌🏾
Cracker of a job, wish I was as good.
The spread of the legs is to make the footprint bigger, which makes the chair more stable. Where did you get yhat sunny sky from?? Nothing but rain clouds here in the Black Country 😂😂😂😂
Ahh of course that makes sense, thank you. Haha I remember it lasting a day or so and then back to gloom 🤣😩 👍🏾
Well done mate ! Looks wicked
Thanks mate, appreciate it 🙏🏾
Those doors where amazing, you make great content and projects 👍
I really appreciate that, makes it worth while 👊🏾👍🏾
Great job! What hinges did you use here?
Cheers mate 👊🏾 these are - Hafele Steel 90° Easy Mount Hinges 95mm from Screwfix
Nice job.
Thank you 🙏🏾
Big job! Well done 👏🏼

That looks great 👍🏻
Thank you mate, appreciate it 👍🏾
got to give you a minus...never understood your mumbling, and I thought it odd you had video machine in neighbor's yard. do us a favor and rethink, redo then post good lukk
So very kind of you 👍🏾
I didn't hear mumbling - just the camera not picking up the audio that well at 3.33. Nothing odd about the neighbour business at all if they're happy to help - lets face it, we'd rather have our neighbours improving their gardens than letting them get overgrown and messy!
I appreciate it Tony 🙌🏾
@@JazzScottDIY Some people just don't appreciate the the efforts you go to in order to help others.....and can you tell the missus not to keep photo bombing your video with her green fingered intentions😂😂😂
Exactly that mate and I’m not telling her you can, im trying to stay in the good books 😂
Great job and video bro
Thank you bro, much appreciated 👌🏾
No rebar?
No and I don't have anything against it but overkill for a project like this. It's a light traffic area and It's still holding strong with no issue. 👍🏾
100mm concrete slab poured on a good solid hardcore sub base is going to out live you, no need for re bar.
Super helpful, thanks for the video 👌🏼
Glad you liked it mate 👌🏾
Did you leave an air gap on the roof?
I didn't not mate. I did a hybrid system which I know is controversial but it's completely sealed and after 3 and half years I've not had any problems with it
@JazzScottDIY I'm thinking about doing a similar roof but I'm in such a delma to leave an air gap and drill some holes in the facia board and pop soffit vents or do the hybrid version with no gaps. Though if I went down the air gap route I would have to double up battens over the joists horizontal as I haven't left enough over hand around the sides. Garden room is connected to the house via french doors*
great video, very helpful thanks!
Great job bud, fingers crossed 🤞🏿you get to 1000 subscribers real soon 🙏🏿
Thank you mate, really appreciate it 🙏🏾🙌🏾
Always looks crap. 5:1 mortar applied with giant mastic gun with a birds beak finish is the classy way But most dont have the skills anymore
That's the beauty of DIY we Learn as we go, I think it looks really good though 👍
Awesome 👍🏾
Tidy job mate
Cheers mate, appreciate it!
Great result! Well done 😀
Much appreciated mate 👊🏾
