Same with mine. My iPod changes into a lot of weird colors then some lines pop up like its a broken digitizer then it restarts like every minute or so PLEASE HELP ME (No I am not jailbroken.).
the best solution is just change to android.....
Yeah , same here BUT WHY ON RECOVERY MODE IT WONT RESTART I LET IT ON RECOVERY MODE UP TO 1 HOUR , NO RESTARTING , and the time is the same 2min:00 secondes after startup , i guess there is something that hits that
My iphone always reboots itself and sometimes turn itself on for no reason
It's the battery. Think about it. The phones protocol is when it runs out of sufficient battery power it shuts down And when it detects sufficient power it will automatically restart. If your battery is damaged than maybe every couple minutes it losses the ability to output sufficient power for just a split second this is what it would do
Can anyone help me about my problem ??? I turned on wi-fi then i go to App store and i started download Fasebook Massanger after this my iPhone 4s got restarted then again turned on then again restarted and its doing already 1h and more anyone can help me about this if u know anything or if this is problem about ios i havn't updated ...
where was this? I saw this match in stockton, ca in 1993, as well.
I just got my iphone 4s brand new last month and it freezes and when i try to take pictures it closes out on me lawd i just noticed im useing my little sisters accout o.e but anyway can anyone help me? *-*
It may have something to do with the battery
the same thing happened to me last week, and now it wont eave start. it stays in the apple logo faze and then restarts it self. :(
Mine too!
My phone usually does it when I'm in a web browser or you tube
Not likely a virus from the app store. More likely a software issue.
ok so mine started to do it 2 days ago, sometimes it stops and starts back, i believe its a virus from the app store... cuz once i plug it back in to charge or sync it starts back up if u guys found a fix tag me plz
Had this problem with our iPods too so unfortunately trying to register with the 3G network isn't the problem.
Try turning on your 3G, then restarting your phone, then you can turn 3G off again. As far as I can tell, there appears to be a bug in the system if your phone turns on without 3G activated, it's as if the sim doesn't register correctly and the phone continues to restart trying to correct the problem. Don't worry if you don't have a data plan, the 3G is also used for phone signal but obviously without a data plan, you'll want to turn it off again to avoid any data costs. Hope this helps.
What kind of carrier do you carry your cockatoo in?
Yeh I think your right. I tried my sim in their phone and it still did it. It's on IOS 6.1.4 to so I have no idea what is going on. I'm going to try to restore the phones in DFU mode to a complete new phone and see if that works.
I'm not sure it is a cell tower issue as this happened with our iPods as well. Since upgraded to iOS6 we haven't had any problems. It seems to be a software issue.
It just dawned on me when you mentioned "it gets stuck in a reboot loop because it can't connect to a cell tower" This could be true as of IOS6. There may be a bug in that release that causes the phone to reboot when there is no signal from the cell towers. Worth investigating more.
Hey Matt that cell tower thing could be the problem. Ok! I live in Australia first of all and my wife and I belong to the Telstra telco. We both have iPhone 5's however 2 of our friends who are with the Optus Telco are having the same issue as you because Optus dont have as many towers as Telstra and they are constantly having signal issues. Meaning they lose signal and the phone reboots. Where my wife and I who are with Telstra dont have any signal problems never have our phones reboot. Cont!
The only solution I've found that worked is to go into General > Reset > Reset All Settings. After doing this my iPhone immediately stopped the rebooting cycle and I haven't had the problem come back since.
The best solution I've found so far was to go into General > Reset > Reset All Settings. The phone immediately stopped the rebooting cycle and I haven't had the problem come back for a few weeks now. The downside was having to customize ALL my settings again. I think it is software related.
Solution toss some holy water on the phone and pray that you have some insurance on your equipment..LOL
(Continued, part 3) Went to the Apple Store after filming the above video and they really don't know what the problem is. This time they suggested it could be "environmental" and swapped out the phone again. All was well until two days ago and it acted up again. Some sites have suggested it gets stuck in a reboot loop because it can't connect to a cell tower but that wouldn't explain why we had two iPods do the same thing. Good luck! If you find a solution please share!
(Continued from previous comment) About a day after upgrading our devices to iOS6, my wife's iPhone and two of my kid's iPods started doing this. My iPhone (at the time), our iPad, and my other son's iPod were fine. Apple recommended a restore through iTunes which solves the problem for the two iPods, but not my wife's iPhone. Her's started rebooting continuously a few days later. She swapped out her phone and has had no problems since. Then my phone started doing it. (Continued...)
Apple swapped out the phone for a new one but the problem resurfaced about a week later on the new phone. Through a combination of turning on/off airplane mode and several "hard" resets I managed to get rebooting cycle to stop. It started doing it again two days ago. The only way for me to get it to stop was to do a restore through iTunes. I don't think it is a hardware problem. I think its software. The problem initially started on my 3GS but not until I upgraded to iOS6. (Continued...)
Did you ever find a solution to the rebooting problem? My iPhone started doing the exact same thing tonight. Thanks in advance.
I was there, about 25 feet from the stag. I will treasure this experience for as long as I live. I pray that the GOP in Congress will stop being obstructionists and that they work with the Democrats to end gridlock. The nation cannot afford more of the same!
A wonderful way to engage rather than frighten...a model to try for any school.
cursive handwriting is basically an advanced form of handwriting that is personalized from person to person (unlike the generic typing that is identical for everyone), and it is faster and more efficient when writing by hand. print letters should be kept to typing because they are the foundation to English.. personally this video irks me in that they attempt to portray cursive as useless and "clinging to old ways" when in reality i bet the person is just ignorant and too stubborn to see its use
Cursive ought to be taught, but I don't think students should be forced to write in cursive. Printing is fine, cursive is fine. As long as it's legible. I remember my 2nd grade teacher was a penmanship Nazi. God I hated her. My handwriting is still sloppy but I make more than her so to hell with her.
@20211T - "typing tires out everything" I doubt it.
writing only tires out your hand .. typing tires out everything :)
Actually studies have shown that taking notes through writing on paper actually improves retention. I know in college, when I took written notes, I rarely needed to look at them again because I was far more likely to remember it.
It's more than slamming away at buttons and it's an insult to anyone's intelligence to play it down as mindless following. It's an interesting spin you put on it. I consistently find that students with pen and paper alone engage in collective behavior whereas students with an internet capable device are more individualistic and drive their own learning. They frequently use their devices to go beyond the classroom to supplement, confirm, and if necessary challenge what's being taught.
You're more mentally engaged slamming away at buttons than actually feeling out each, individual letter and word by hand? As the federal gov't gains more and more control of education, this is merely the continuing of a push at destroying literacy and one's capability for individual thought in favor of collectivism. Have you taken a look at the strong, new emphasis on group work in the CCSS? And the lazy teachers in the disgusting unions went along for the ride because it's less work for them.
An interaction with a laptop or tablet is more personal than a pen and notebook. Students are far more engaged using a device. Technology is normal and more understandable for them. Frankly you seem to be out of touch with what's out there and what students can do with technology. Cursive is antiquated and the arguments to maintain it fall flat when compared to modern options that stimulate mental processes. What's unfair and insulting is holding kids back by maintaining methods from the past.
You won't get the same cognitive response on a glass screen compared to the feedback of a real pen on paper. I personally enjoy studying language, using notebooks and writing by hand. I don't absorb the information the same way hammering away at a keyboard. Even if we never agree on this, I at least hope you realize that the characterization you made of us in the pro-cursive camp in this video is unfair and insulting.
In my neck of the woods I see it daily in work, meetings, and on college campuses. I feel for any student stuck writing notes for hours on end. What kind of teaching and learning is that? If you're looking for tactile feedback, you should find Notability for the iPad interesting. I've seen some impressive handwritten notes created with that particular app. No smacking away at a glass screen required (unless you want to.)
Sorry, I don't see anyone taking notes on tablets, and quite frankly, it sounds extremely uncomfortable and irritating to have to be slamming your fingers on a glass screen for hours. The tactile feedback you get from writing by hand stimulates the brain and affects how that information is memorized. Feeling out each individual letter no doubt produces a different resonse in the brain than madly smacking away at keys.
There are more practical and modern means of providing a child with the benefits you describe. There has been a major shift in the last five years in regards to how students take notes. They're abandoning paper notebooks for laptops and tablet devices to take notetaking, learning, and studying to a higher level. These devices replace lugging around heavy textbooks with ebooks and allow for instant access to supplemental material online. Learning cursive is no longer practical.
No one's making the argument that we should just keep cursive just for the sake of it being old. It's over how writing in cursive as opposed to print benefits the child with regard to brain development, and the quickness, efficiency, and personality of his writing. More and more is certainly being typed, but that doesn't mean the world hasn't a place for cursive. Do students not write down notes in college to help them study? Wouldn't they rather a notebook than a heavy laptop to lug around?
It's certainly not EXACTLY how the conversation went. As the description states, "This video is based on an exchange I had with my teacher back in 3rd grade with the dialogue slightly revised to reflect 21st century options." Read the description in its entirety then by all means jump in on the debate.
Yes, I'm sure that's EXACTLY how the conversation went. Thanks for the impartial, fair presentation of both sides of the debate. (/sarcasm)
I agree. Cursive is completely outmoded in modern society.
Just chillin' :3
The frequent response I see in this debate is "How will you sign your name?" Although the term "signature" is often equated with cursive writing, if you read the Uniform Commercial Code's (UCC) section which deals with this, it states a legal signature is any "mark" of acknowledgment. Therefore, a legal signature can be a printed name, an "X", a drawing, your name in Egyptian hieroglyphics, etc.
@musicproducer16 One of the things we have to remember is forms of communication change over time and place. There is an evolutionary process in play, from Sumerian script and hieroglyphics to the present day forms of digital communication. There is nothing wrong with learning cursive (or hieroglyphics for that matter), but when it comes to what is mandated in schools, we must concentrate on what is practical today and tomorrow, not yesterday.
@CulturalLag Yeah I was little, I dont understand it either. I really dont think they gave us "F's"...I mostly remembering the teachers telling us to re-due the assignment if we did. When I moved away the next school I went to taught typing classes. I don't think cursive is the MOST important thing but I do believe cursive is needed. I cant tell you how many times I use cursive. I am a VERY fast typer. Just because it is the 21st century does not mean that it wont be later need. YOU NEVER KNOW
