I love guitars and motorcycles. On this channel I do some of both.
This is harder than it looks....sand sucks.
Here's a small sample of what it's like to ride Soggy Bottom Ranch on a KTM 890R ADV. I was lucky enough to participate in the Bill Dragoo level 3 rocks/sand class. 17 riders and not a single one escaped multiple drops in this sand. It was so much fun, but exhausting,

A slow roll of Icky Sticky at Spider Mountain bike park in Burnett, Texas

Kurt and Kyle slow roll the black diamond Icky Sticky trail at Spider Mountain bike park. This is my first trip to the park and the first roll down this track. It's a lot of fun. Tight, steep switchbacks, burms, and some chunk with a nice cooldown back to the lot.
Deer Loop Northwest AR

May 2023, myself, three friends, and baby Yoda traveled 8 hours north of Round Rock to northwest Arkansas to run the AR500. This is a charity event that supports the Turpentine Creek Animal Sanctuary (fantastic folks). We camped at Mulberry Campground, about 20 minutes north of Ozark. This is a great event! If you get a chance to attend you'll stay at a fabulous campground (cleanest bathrooms a...

They have Tigers in Mexico? MexTrek 2022 day 1.
มุมมอง 6132 ปีที่แล้ว
In April 2022 I rode with 25 riders from Texas to Mexico. We spent three days riding the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range. This ride is known as "MexTrek", as coined by Rich Gibbens. This loosely guided ride starts in Mission, Texas and makes its first stop in Santiago, Nuevo Leon. A quick stop a the hotel to drop luggage, a fantastic lunch at La Postreria 77 and we were off to follow the f...
My favorite Mextrek 2022 hill climb.

This is a short hill climb in the mountains near Galeana, Nuevo Leon. I'm riding a Tiger 900 Rally Pro with Motoz Tractionator Adventure tires. This was some of my favorite riding of the entire trip. I was trying to keep up with the guys on 500cc dual-sport bikes. I'm a little slower, but I went everywhere they did that day! This trip was an absolute blast. If you're never seen the mountains of...
Checkpoints in Mexico. Find out if you really know your friends. :)
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Got stopped at a checkpoint going north on Interstate 40 in Mexico, about 20 miles south of the border. Six riders returning from three days riding in Santiago/Galeana. The riding was spectacular. The first checkpoint was the Mexican National Guard. We watched about 30 cars/busses get waved through, but when we rolled up they flagged us over to the side. They were quick and polite. We were out ...

19 miles northwest of San Saba is one of the last suspension bridges in Texas. It was a long haul to get there, but if you enjoy the ride it's never long enough. regencybridge.net/
The Tiger eats up Old Ore Road at Big Bend
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is my first day at Big Bend. My friend Rob's trusty T7 and my Tiger 900 tackle Old Ore Road (north to south). I'd call this a class 1 road with a couple class 2 sections. An intermediate big-bike rider should have little trouble. Smaller bikes will have no problems. This trail is 26 miles, no bailout. You either finish it, or turn around. Do NOT attempt this road unless you and your bike a...
Big Bend Bash

Knowing what I was up against in Big Bend National Park, the Tiger got a. new bash plate. Two full days of desert riding will test every part of your bike (and your body). If you're going to Big Bend, be ready.

Well done, sir! Great tone and chops you have there.
I too do not partake in wasting 5 minutes reading the directions, when i can spend half an hour trying to fit it in every possible position until i get it right.😊
Kurt. is there any difference in height, im looking for a lower peg option for my tiger explorer.......hard to find. Thanks
They are a bit lower, but not a lot. Not enough to make a huge difference.
@@kurtshetler9719 thanks !
Thank you. I now have a pretty good idea of how far the pedals can be turned. Very helpful and very self-ironic. I now have the alignment of the tension springs under control, but yesterday my E-clip took off when I was changing the pedals. 15 minutes of searching because the ring jumped into the motorcycle. You wouldn't watch that video to the end.
I've spent my fair share of chasing sprung springs.
You still have them? How do you like em ? I got some on my new bike last year, after...ruining my rotor and pads as my new boots and me make ME a moron, and I didn 't feel my toe riding the brake at 80mph. Expensive mistake. Anyway I like the pivotpegz but pretty much all I've known.
Fought with how the spring went as well my friend thanks for the video
I wonder if they make some for my scrambler 900
DART is *such* a great program!
Ottimo tutorial complimenti ma il filtro era ancora buono bastava dargli una soffiata .
Well done! I’m sold for my Rally Pro soon, I’ve used them years ago on another bike, for the Triumph it makes sense…
Nice video,we rode it the same direction. I had a honda africa twin, and struggled with it. I had a leaking front fork, and cruddy front tire, but never dumped it. My brother bought a Tiger used and it did great. I would have bought one,but the bottom line on a new one was twenty one thousand and I got the honda for sixteen. I'll put different tires on it,and warranty should be fixing the fork, and then go try some more. That was a good video on the road. Did you do the others? We ended up doing them all.
What are the 2 black side sacks that you use on the bike attached to the frame? what brand? I would like to get them, thanks.

junk, they are not like bicycle pedals, they are like a teeter totter, complete junk on a serious motorcycle, NO BODY FAST RUNS THEM, NOBODY!
Not everything is about fast, and they are incredibly well built. Feel free to not use them.
Just curious why did you sell it?
I totaled it. :( Frame damage.
For that amount of money I definitely would have gone with the K&N filter. Have been using them for decades without any issues.

"Pretty quick install" Gets me every time....
I wanted to see a doughnut. Not a gratuitous drone shot.
No refunds.
Maybe a dumb question but do these filters need to be oiled?
Nope. It’s a paper element.
Great video! How tall are you ? I have a Tenere but the lean angle seems almost impossible for me I feel like the bike is going to tip over every time.
I'm 6'2".The thing is, you don't want the bike tipped over very long before you're applying power. It should be one smooth motion. Foot planted in the direction you want to spin, head turned to look where you want to go, lean and add power. The T7 is a top heavy bike, and might need a little more lean angle. You might have to do these standing next to the bike, so you can lean it into your hip. But the same sequence applies to your body position. Point the toe, point your head, lean the bike in, add power and commit! Good luck!
Got to say, after 1000kms I haven’t had an issue. Ride it first before you pull it off as it doesn’t effect everyone..
You have knees of steel, my friend. Oh how I envy you. Cheers.
I have gone that same route, try, try, read directions. Also glad you made an informative video that's not 20 minutes of fill.
Great Video Kurt, thanks a lot man………I’m in the midst of playing auto electrician with my Tiger. Good advice.
Right on!

"The Extremist" is my go-to. Still, after 20 years.
What was the result?
Dealer did a software update and the problem went away.
I've always sttruggled with this but im new to dirt biking, my bike is 130kg+ and im kind of short or average height and its a tall bike so leaning it over to lower the traction is hard. I realised revently i dont need to lean it over as much and its more the clutch and throttle control and turning my head and having some balls that fixed it. i learnt this by accident on a dark muddy roadi tried to turn around normally but did flicked the bike out by accident but it was so fun and now i can practice it.
Nice. Commitment is key. That's why the head turn is so critical. The bike will go where you're looking if you're committed.
Go to Monterrey !!
Just showed up in my recommendation. Pretty cool idea with the drone footage. I tried the spin turn yesterday in deeper sand…hard to get myself to lean without falling over so needed a wider arc…good vid, simple and interesting.
Thanks! I"m still working on them with the new bike. Always something to learn.
Does not bother me
Looks like that part is there to hold the bottom of the fairing in place. Any issues with fairing movement after removal of the knee pain makers?
No, it's completely ornamental (and sadistic).
Bought it works great...once I opened the right com port on the software ( com 6 for me ) I was able to program. I really like the 7 second delay giving the starter on the bike full power to crank before power is distributed to your accessories. This should be a factory component not sure why Motorcycle companies have not figured this out yet? Since I have panniers I just installed mine where the Tiger tool kit goes and moved my tool kit to my boxes. Btw...if you have a GOPRO you can plug in directly a USB charging cable and run a power pack and it will run off your power pack directly....GOPRO batteries suck. I stopped buying them and just run on video mode LOOP with a cable of course you have to keep a GOPRO battery installed in order to do this. It just constantly charges but your camera will run while in charging mode. I get hours and hours of power.

Nice! Like the breakdown too. Can't expect to things like this if you don't practice them.
How long did it take you to complete the trail?
men don't read instructions...you just lost 15 points on your man card for reading the instructions....next time drink a beer, stand back and look at it, and for heaven's sake whatever you do don't ever read the instructions. It's just not in our DNA. Great video....do you find these pegs to cause you to become unstable coming off a fixed peg set up? I would think they would give me a false sense of security with the fact that they "wiggle"? But what do I know I am just a man and I can change if I have to.
I'm learning this too... I'm so glad i am not alone in this world! keep it up brotha... will be looking forward to your progress #newsubscriber
Wonder if you could somehow sand the sharpness off it?
Nice shots. Sandy Creek?
It might be. I think that route crosses SC a couple times. Not sure. Sometimes they all burr together.
Take me 3 times to charge my phone, 1st it won't work so I flip it and it won't work the I flip it back again.. Murphy lives here.
Thanks. Hopefully buying a T9RP in a few days. Have you considered KnN washable? $70 once. Also, what rack system are you attaching the Mosko plates to?
I no longer have the bike, but still have the Outback Motorek panniers and top rack for sale, if you're interested. Would ship from Round Rock TX.
