Palak Paneer Recipe || How To Make Palak Paneer At Home || Kitchen Delicious
Here's a simple recipe for making Palak Paneer:
Ingredients:
For the spinach paste:
3 cups fresh spinach (palak), washed and chopped
2 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
4 green chilies, chopped
1-inch piece of ginger
2-3 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt to taste
For the curry:
200g paneer (cubed)
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 cup cream or cashew paste (optional)
2 tablespoons oil or ghee
Instructions:
Blanch the spinach:
Boil water in a large pan and add the chopped spinach. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the spinach is wilted.
Drain the spinach and immediately transfer it to a bowl of ice-cold water (to retain the green color).
Once cooled, blend the spinach into a smooth paste.
Prepare the curry:
Heat oil in a pan, and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add the ginger, garlic, and green chilies, and sauté for another minute.
Add in To a jaar and make a fine paste.
In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds add tomato and the onions. Puree sate for 2-3 minutes
Then add salt, garm masala and, kasuri methi and sauté.
Add spinach paste:
Add the blended spinach paste into the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is well incorporated with the spices.
If the curry is too thick, you can add a little water to adjust the consistency.
Add paneer and simmer:
Gently add the paneer cubes into the spinach mixture.
Let the curry simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to combine. Optionally, add cream or cashew paste for a richer texture.
Serve:
Garnish with fresh cream or cilantro (optional). Serve with roti, naan, or rice.
