Dive-Jet 1500W | How To Build | Fail, Aluminum, New ESC
มุมมอง 6K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I am going to show you how I build my Dive-Jet that is based on the design of a ScubaJet. This time I am re-making the bottom part out of aliminium to make it completely waterproof and cool the esc. I also build a trigger-style throttle using a magnet and hall-effect sensor. I am using a 500kv bldc Motor that can deliver over 1500W. The ESC has an output of 2200W. I am planning on...
Dive-Jet 1500W | How To Build | Better than the Original?

In this video I am going to show you how I build my Dive-Jet that is based on the design of a ScubaJet. I am using a 500kv bldc Motor that can deliver over 1500W. The ESC has an output of 2200W. I am planning on using a battery system that can deliver up to 4000W with a capacity of 360Wh which should result in a runtime of approximately 3,6h at normal speeds. At full throttle the battery will r...

any updates on your Dive-Jet ?

Hi. How are the prints holding pressure? All my diving projects are printed at a 100% infill to avoid air pockets that can collapse under pressure at depth. But really really really want to build something like this!
Where can i find the print file for the piece that holds the hall sensor
Where did you buy the Rupper Sealings and what Size and Material are they?
On eBay, I think the size was 90x3 o-ring
Спасибо!
You can give more details about how you built the activation button
4:00 so far: impeller needs to be printed with much lower layer height, it needs to be petg or ASA. Then will be best id you coat it with epoxy after printing and sanding (with 0.1mm LH + epoxy sanding will be optional) I would not trust 3d printed enclosure to be waterproof, especially if you dive with it, it will almost certainly leak. Also by looking at motor type, you cant run this in saltwater I think, as its an outrunner.
You are right, the prop needs to be smoother but since this is still a prototype I’ve printed multiple props to test, I wanted them to print fast

Nice

Fam we need to see the vid fam
Fam, are you still working on this?!
Congratulations, your work is incredible; I would also like to create something similar to your work for my wife who can go to the seaside but can no longer go underwater like before, we live near the sea and with this she could go snorkeling. Have you tried it at the seaside or in the pool? Once again well done.
Until now I’ve just used it in a fresh water lake. I think the only limitations are the bearings in the motor with corrosion, the motor it self is completely electrically isolated and all the other electronics are inside the waterproof housing
How is the trigger print fitted into the handle
Share the model ? :)
It’s on Thingiverse and cults3d
Do you think this could push a kayak and how much would this cost
Im sure it can push a kayak, it could pull me pretty good and I guess a kayak has less resistance in the water than a human body. Material wise it’s probably 200-300€ depending on the components you use
And about The final test driving in The water ?
Love your project , Brilliant. I am working on a controller for underwater use can you recommend or share your ideas on a way forward 🙏😬 Thanks in advance 🤟
Did you use flat head screws on the left side of the chassis in order to make it easier knowing which screws go where during disassembly and reassembly? Or you just so happened to have those screws on hand from that container?
No particular reason for that, just didn’t have enough screws of the same sort
@@3dprintcnc164 gotcha
Fantastic project !! very good :D I know the bldc motor can work in fresh water but i'm not sure it can with salt water. there is some indication to follow to ensure it works fine with salt water? thanks a lot :)
Awesome build! May i know what throttle you used?
The throttle mechanism is just a small magnet and a Hall effect sensor (SS49e)
what halleffect sensor did you use for the throttle controll? i have tryed it but but it dose not output a stable signal
I used an SS49e hall effect sensor. Maybe try some different magnets
With Two Jet it should be faster
In the future I might build a second one and than combine them to a jet-backpack
Great project, i wonder is it possible use cordless wrench? Because it have moto, battery, controller, also speed switch
Probably, but I think you need to make some changes to the design to make it fit with your parts
Hi i am making this i using 1250 kv 5s motor and 3/1 ratio reducer 10k rpm is suitable İ havent tested it yet
If you have 10k rpm at the prop, it’s perfect
Hi, I want to make one just like yours. Where can I get the min.7:33 switch from the video? thank you very much for your help
Oh I thought I uploaded it, I’ll upload it later today
crazy how I ran across your vids the same day as I started thinking of making my own. Well done!
This is great speed! Have you tried diving?
Thanks, no I haven’t yet, but I’ll try probably this week. Unfortunately I don’t have a GoPro or similar to Film underwater
Great work! The G60 Brushless Outrunner 500kv is waterproof?
Brushless motors a in general more or less waterproof, only the bearings are problematic but they can be changed with sealed bearings
Please don’t quit on the design and keep improving it has a lot of potential
I am not quitting, I just couldn’t find the time to work on the project, but I’ll be back at it soon
Love the project, but I noticed you used PLA or ABS which is not waterproof. Even tho you used o-rings, water will still make its way through the prints and into your waterproof section. There are rubber end caps for the pipe you used that I recommend. It looks amazing, good job!
Yes you’re right, pla or most 3d prints aren’t waterproof, that’s also a reason why one side is made out of aluminum. The other side is made from pla but it’s coated with epoxy and while testing no water got in. But in the future I’ll probably make it out of aluminum, too.
Have you tried it underwater? And did it go overheat ?
I have tried it in the water, but it didn’t overheat, the battery just got a little warm
hallo gibt es auch eine datei zum bearbeiten des objektes mit freundlichen grüße
Hi, welches Dateiformat meinen Sie?
There are a lot of parts in the 3d drawings you shared, but you don't combine that many parts in the video, why? it was very confusing 3d parts There are 17 parts and you use 7-8 of them in the video
I am pretty sure I used all the parts. There’s more than one video
@@3dprintcnc164 ok thank you
Do you have a link to the engine and ESC you are using?
Motor is a Turnigy G60 500kv ESC is a FlyColor 90A for boats
Do you have a chance to share the drawing for 3d printer with us?
Everything is on Thingiverse and Cults3d
Nice work man. 👍 It does take much more than you thought doesn't it? I built something similar few years ago so I know. It is on my channel. Good thing to pay attention to thermal conductivity. 👍 One thing I learned on mine. What ever gets warm in sealed container, surrounded with could water, WILL CONDESATE. And those LiOns in there will get warm, if not hot. Solution might be some kind of textile padding inside. Or provide cooling for LiOns. Or use Lipo batteries, those won't get more than calm.
I'm sorry to keep spamming you with questions but this is the first time I have ever made anything like this... so I'm using the same batteries, would you mind sharing your brackets and battery connector models as well?
I thought I uploaded the files but apparently I didn’t, but now they are on Thingiverse
Hi. Is it possible to let the motor run in water? Is it waterproof itself? Thanks
Yes the motor is waterproof
