Why is your camel back empty guy?
being a ww2 collector for many years and also a former (British /Dutch Irene brigade) reenactor I would like to make a few remarks: Helmet 4:02 The smaller helmet nut was a later war economy version. As far as I know British liners always have been market with size , maker en date. It takes a bit of searching but can be found imprinted in the fibre parts of the liner. Straps the straps with the metal spring are early war. Because it took more work to fabricate and save on spring metal the elasticated MKIII (khaki) strap was made Not sure about its introduction I believe around 1942, I know they tried to make a more improved version, the MKIIIa. just a partial elasticated strap. To the end or even late war a green elasticated strap was introduced. Trousers 6:44 the pocket of the paratroop trousers first was lined with chamois (leather). This was later with khaki cloth material. This was to strengthen the pocket. It had more volume and paratroopers stuffed it what whatever they deemed nessesary.10:48 The carrier for binoculars was at times not used, Some did not wanted to be identified as an officer by German snipers and kept the strap around their neck and de binoculars stuffed in the front of the battledress or with a face veil/ camouflage (net) scarf in front of it. The Universal or basic pouch. The enfield clips would not be in it loose! The clips were factory packed and issued to a soldier in cloth bandoleers with 5 pockets and in each pocket were 2 clips. Some soldiers would carry the bandoleer accros the chest. But the ammunition would stay in the bandoleer and packed on top part of the basic pouch with the strap on top thus a soldier could pull the bandoleer out of the pouch. Waterbottle, Blue with an eyelet for the corck string were useually early war or Canadian. Later they became green. These bottles had a woolen cover. The idea was to keep you water cool, you would make the cover wet. When the water of the cover would evaporate it would cool of the water in the bottle as it also would us the heat inside the bottle. And it would dampen the sound if an object would hit the bottle.also protect the enamel for damage. The screw lid is rare seen it but not sure if it is actualy British or of an commenwealth country.

Churchill was the biggest monster of all of History
And give me a proper reason
@@darthVitiate661 whilst Churchill did some unforgivable things, there is no way you are putting that man in No. 1, when people like Hitler, Stalin, Emperor Nero, Genghis Khan and hundreds more names easily out trump the actions of Winston.
@TheReuMusic He Led millions 100 Mio people starve in India, and did far more terrible Things in the other colonies in total over 110 Mio people died because of him.And the Most important Point Is that ww2 startet becaus of him.
@ I k ow what he did, and if you pay attention to what I said, yes he did things that were bad, but more figures out there did much worse
@ and you are aware WW2 started before Churchill was Prime Minister?
They fighted for FREEDOM so there is freedom, stupid monkey
we fought for nothing and lost everything
Lest we forget ❤️❤️
They fought for freedom so. YES. Is your brain in 240p
You trying to say that it was a good thing that millions died ?
You’re missing the point entirely… this is not to glorify war as a good thing, but to actually raise awareness that the nation’s colours represent the sacrifice of those that died trying to protect us so we can do what we do on a day to day basis, we commemorate those that secured our freedom.
Yeah that makes sense now sorry 👍
Yes. They fought for our freedom to choose. Suggesting otherwise is ironically exactly what they were fighting against.

Hi man. From what unit is that patch you’re wearing on your plate carrier? By the way, congratulations on your loadout, in my opinion the British army uniforms always looked the best

How can one take a movie seriously if the very first scene which is supposed to be in the late 10930’s early 40’s shows the actor rowing in a raft the was made in the 1970’s or later? I mean really who the hell failed to catch that, you can plainly see it’s molded in colors and fasteners for god sakes. Sorry but it’s just stupid things like this that ruin shows for me.
@@vagabond324 We had basically zero budget for the movie and everything we took for the movie had to go on the plane so there is no way we could of taken an authentic dingy on the plane. We used what we could which was my grandfathers dingy. So that’s why.

Noice m8 👌 Might copy a little bit of this for mine eventually ;)
Looking good, 3 things though, your gaiters/anklets are the wrong way round and should be blancoed to the same colour as your web gear, the jump trousers you are wearing will have a small slit on the right leg thays designed specifically for your fighting knife, the marger pockets is for maps and documents. Lastly the two pouches are for bren magazines and binoculars were carried either in a case specifically set up to the webset or worn round your neck tucked into the inside of your BD jacket. Other than that near perfect bro 👍🏻
Yeah I realised that there was a pocket in the side of the trousers for the knife, just too late for the video and also a short film I made 🙄. Since making this video I learnt a lot about the kit and inaccuracies with such as the ones you picked up on. Hopefully soon I’ll get more kit to join a reenactment group so I’ll make more improved and better videos in the future. Thanks for the advice 👍
