The speedmaster is a completely different bike with different handling characteristics. It can’t really be compared. A speed twin is a better comparison . But I do see the logic. For the same used price you can pick up a truxton r and a speed twin. But a thruxton is bristling with premium quality parts. Ohlins rear shocks, showa shocks, brembo brakes, wire wheels and I think the map is slightly different etc. Throwing bars on a thruxton would give you in theory a speed twin with more bang for buck and performance…and of course that upright riding position

I actually had the original owner's manual for my 73. The first sentence in the manual said: "Congratulations! You have purchased the finest sport touring motorcycle available." What an iconic machine!

I've owned 9 motorcycles in my life time. One of them was a 73 CB750 Four. For some reason that bike left an impression on me like none of my other bikes did. She would always whistle when you put her in high gear. Loved that bike.

where do you get your main and rod bearings from? what do you use? i have a 95 1100 engine i am considering rebuilding but cant find any info on engine bearings.
