Bill toumas said in the video that they had an aftermarket shifter installed and he DID give word of caution, looks like you didn't pay enough attention the video, he did a fine job ecplaining everything if you ask me.

What happens when you break the reverse callar? I have recently heard of that. Think when i buy barton shifter and the 350 knob no glue. LOVED THE METALLICA!

Something to consider is that some of the lock tite got into the reverse lock out and that is what made it stick.

Not to be negative but the way the shifter engages in the gears has nothing to do with the knob! It will not make it smoother or more ruff. No we all know how it feels in your hand is subjective but it has nothing to do with how it rows.

For a performance increase you really need to get a cat-back system or remove the resonator with this and add an x or h-pipe. The resonator is highly restrictive.

hey bro , im thinking to get one and have a little question , is it gonna feel too high to grab the shifter after using gt350 shift knob ?

I might be sending my knob back. I could only tighten it 12 rotations. I feel the shifter is just too high now. The first go, I let the locktite cure overnight. It was still loose the next day. Trying to shim it with washers was a fail. I was at 10 washers. I re applied more locktite and have yet to try it. Let is site for 2 days. I will see here soon if it stays on the car or gets sent back. It just really bothers me that there's so much more room to tighten this knob down.

I like the shift knob too. So much so that I bought a 2017 GT350.

An easy solution to get the knob tight would be using shims. Place shims/washers inside the threaded knob opening (they should be small enough to drop in) and then tighten. You can space or index the knob and get it tight without using alot of locktite. What this does is effectively lengthens the shift arm.

Hey Bud Thanks for the tip. Mine will be here this week. Question though! Wouldn't it be better if the knob is screwed in when the gear is already in Reverse, so you know how far of a space you have to clear the reverse lock out?
