porsche crash at Lime Rock 5/25/2009
มุมมอง 18K15 ปีที่แล้ว
The driver lost his brakes coming down the front straight.Just before the first turn the left front caliper grabbed sending him into the wall.
Not a vintage racer by any means. Ain't f'n nascar.
The Lotus driver really seems to have poor knowledge of the track based on his lines. The MG is right on line, clearly not expecting such a bone-headed dive bomb at such an inopportune place. Had he any judgement, he could have easily powered past the MG on exit.
Omg...not what the Lightning is built for!
agreed, he was too busy hanging onto the shifter (must have been concerned it was going to fall thru the floor) to bother to drive properly
The in car video is titled " Lime Rock Historical Festival 2012"
Tough to assign blame there. white car had position, blue car was inside entering the braking zone. Blue car probably shouldn't have pushed the issue, white car shouldn't have come down as quick as he did. I'd have to put this under the "racing incident" heading.
The white car that the blue hit, I watched the whole video from that. We where in the trailer next to Joe with Mark Wierman
Bet that woke you up
There's an in car shot from the white car on youtube. It looks pretty scary.
When you see the whole undercarriage of a car, it's not a good thing. Glad the driver walked away.
Goddam shame but to each their own...
That was me driving (Peter Ludwig). The front left brake caliper tore off the upright. That caused an massive brake failure at 142mph into turn 1. Thankfully the front right brake grabbed late forcing the car into a spin taking off tons of speed and making this event a real lucky one, all things considered...
Listen to the blonde you big fat purple grape, get out the way!!!! Wasted Lightning but hey you do what you want with your stuff.
I saw him in Bristol after the pull a nd he said next year because it's 2 wheel drive he can use a shorter hook up. That will make it wheelie so that should be something to see.
what the fuck is the idiot doing to that lightning?
@racingactiontoday i wish i could crash a porsche and get out jumping up and down
Listen to that supercharger scream thats ford power!!!!
lol u mean supercharger
You can hear the turbo.........
Hey at least he passed parallel parking. +1
I was there when that happened I remember i was like :O when i saw him hit the wall
@OMGtehWINNAR Looks like rear abs failed, but i can't confirm.
Thanks, it's what I do best.
@57swifty75 Thanks I try my best.
Well I guess they didn't have to stop the other racers :P
Locked up like crazy...
Clearly the guy with the machine gun at the beginning shot his tyres out.
Shit
what kind of racing is this, if i may ask. im not familiar
@rocker943 I have press passes and go to all the races. See you there
Yes, he got out of the car and was able to jump up and down for the crowd.
was the guy ok ?
Yeah, awesome work to have a car coming at you and yet stay with the disaster in frame as it hurdles by you. Nerves of steel. Most people duck and run!
I shoot still images, and I must say.. Nice work staying with the car!
What a great catch! I was there for that, but I was located at turn one. look at my videos from limerock
that's cool
