Oluokun Temitope Tariq (born May 1st), known professionally as TAR1Q (TAH-reek) , is a Nigerian singer-songwriter signed to Chocolate City Music.
Through Capturing his thoughts perfectly, allowing himself write about the things his Mind is absorbing as He grows up,His music feels like stories multiple African lives had lived in/is living in.
Blessed with a velvety voice and soulful tone, He quickly stands out for his heartfelt storytelling and stage presence.
As an introvert, Born in Benin city to A Yoruba Father, He discovered his love for music at the age of 12. In 2020, shortly after moving back to Lagos from Delta state, he decided to take music as a career a chance and began writing more then he grew to enjoy melodies that would best translate his feelings , which he has infused to create an emotive sound that connects as he tells stories.
