I got frustrated with it, so I stripped it and sold the shell. Built an RX7 from the parts and now I run 7’s with that.

Oh, I just made some solid steel mounts. I made these for my first LS z31 swap in 2010. However, I believe there are some companies out there making mounts for these. Pucker Factory is one and then Dirty Dingo I believe also might make some.

Thanks man. I am not a gold wheel guy. HOWEVER… there are certain cars that can do gold wheels. Blue WRX’s are one. The 50th Anniversary z31, having gold pin striping and gold TURBO lettering on the side skirts, makes it to where gold wheels work on this car.

@@satanz3111 i completely agree, not big on gold at all but the colors on this Z are insane. i have a red 86 TTand was planning on making it white but honestly, yours is making me want to try a grey. i had a grey RX-8 i loved but white is what the rest of my cars are right now 😂 yours is super clean, i mean looks like brand new to me. love the black accents on it, even the gold rims are just a great accent to me, my mouth would water seeing this drive down the road

Any engine swap is going to cost you money no matter how you slice it. I’m a huge fan of 2J’s but they are not the cheap option. RB’s are not a U.S. engine, so finding parts can be tricky when something goes out. LS engines, while not as cheap as they used to be, are everywhere and parts are readily available all the time. They can be cheap depending on your abilities. I still feel that LS is the best bang for the buck.

I actually don’t. All of my LS swaps always get boosted. So my manifolds always come forward. So I’m not sure what headers clear going back.

It says in the video what diff it was at the time of this video. But now I run an Infiniti G35 VLSD 3.69:1 diff. Used to run a 350Z 3.31:1 VLSD.

This is just a street car. If this were an auto cross or road course car, I’d probably run something like the Nismo pro carrier. If it were a drag car, I would simply do a welded carrier.

I used the harness that comes with the Holley Terminator X.

@@Andyrod07 Your harness is going to be dependent on whichever ECU you decide to use. I use a Holley Terminator, therefore I needed a Holley terminator harness.

I’m not going to make an entire list of prices for parts to replicate this build. You’d have to watch the video and search out the prices yourself. Total cost to do it yourself, probably somewhere between $14k and $18k. If you’re paying a shop, probably $27k - $34k. Thats just a guess if you already own the car.

This depends greatly on your desired outcome. If you want something like this, I would expect to pay around $25,000 with all parts and labor included. If you just wanted a basic LS engine with a stock tune, probably around $ 7,000-$10,000.

They work great! I just swapped out solenoids for a 4 port instead.

Yeah, I feel the 3.69 is a good ratio. Even the 3.54 would be ok, but the 3.31 is just too long.

Well I’m old now, but my first car was a 1984 300zx turbo back in 1998. I used to be a pioneer in building engine parts for the VG30 and trying to make the VG fast. Long story short, that’s just the platform I’ve always run. Now I have an LS swapped 50th anniversary edition street car that runs 10’s and a twin turbo LS RX7 that runs 7’s.

Yes, I made the engine mounts, transmission mount and rear end mounts. I make all of my stuff.

@@moosemeeting1082 If you use the 98-2002 f body transmission, the shifter will sit about 1.5 -2” back from the stock location. Personally, I like it batter than stock location. Puts my arms back on the arm rest more where it should be.

I made my own in 2011 on my last LS Z31 using some 1/4” steel plate and welding to part of the the factory LS truck mounts. For the subframe, I used the NA subframe cause it makes it easier. Pucker Factory sells mounts to LS swap using the turbo subframe.

Nope, it’s gone. Sold it back in February.

Because we race at Bandimere where our density altitude is almost always over 8,000ft. Basically, if you have any 11 second car at sea level it now becomes a 12 second car at Bandimere.
