This is original footage filmed at Warwick Castle during my visits in 2000, this is again a skill shot from " The Warwick Bowman ", Kevin Hicks. The footage was mislaid and as you can see, found again, and now published here for everyone to enjoy. www.thehistorysquad.co.uk is where you will find more info. about Kevin.

It would seem a shame that the enjoyable footage I have of this mans skill with the longbow remains in my tape vault, youtube gives me the tool to share this footage and I hope generates more interest in Kevin's living history company "The History Squad" Unlike fake UFO footage this is real skill stuff, enjoy.

This is great! Thanks for sharing. I love The History Squad channel. Cool to see Kevin isn't full of it. 🤭
Thank you so much -- I enjoyed this immensely
Awesome
He is awesome, isn't he? I watch all his videos and find them funny, informative and downright entertaining.
Does anyone know the draw weight of the bow he was using?
Apparently, he himself have no idea.
Kevin "Pear"forated it! =^[.]~=
These films are fantastic regarding Kevin Hicks. I have seen a couple of him, giving talks and the art of using the weapon from people that have filmed him . I have only just discovered his channel, so it was interesting to see the younger man. I started to get fascinated by the Long Bow. His name popped up and i was hooked by his story telling / skill and his funny way of telling them. He can sometimes be quite intense which is another great trait. He also has a fair amount of acting talent. If you watch his channel you will know what i mean. Thanks for sharing this.
Definitely subscribe to The History Squad, Kevin is a brilliant storyteller.
Another man of culture I see
I just found Kevin's channel and now this older stuff, and its awesome. I really wish I could have been there to see it in person!
If you'd like to see more from Kevin Hicks, I discovered that he recently started his own youtube channel, called thehistorysquad. th-cam.com/users/thehistorysquadvideos Lots of great content there.
Cockney lad
Kev is a gifted showman.
Fucking legend.
Love watching any video with keven Hicks. Great archer and great story teller
Good on ya Mate
Great video of Kevin
Wonderful, Kevin changed my life! being an archer reenactor with the 'little Saxon' as he called my son. Good luck to you fella wherever you are now. ,
Anyone else see him point the bow at the crowd and pull the arrow back? 😳
Good to see Kevin young and hale.
This guy must be a riot at parties
👍👍👍
50 Yards? 🏹🎯
I think, in the(ire) old days, they where not stupid. They had several techniquis. Depending on the target / purpose. We (also) must be able to compete with the FITA shooters..
Does he have a slight recurve to his bow tips ?
What a performance with English longbow!!😀😀
why are they laughing.
Kevin Hicks is a true legend!
Your last video...
👏👏👏😆
He is awesome. An clever and witty.
Awesome as usual ...from and American fan
The website listed is dead, maybe you can explain what we were meant to find out there in the video and spare us having to dig or hunt the man down individually, or just in the description?
Who are the 10 fucking pansy frenchie sons of bitches who hit the dislike button.
Well shit I want a long bow now!
I strongly recommend. I bought mine from a local bowier - 42lb draw and 75€, 100% local handywork. So awesome and 42lb is a good starter bow, Even though real starter longbows were around 70lb
Fanbloodytastic ! Shooting an English long bow has been on my bucket list for a while. Just because of my northumbrian lineage. Thank you for this upload.
Awesome bowmanship and I am a mongolian bow guy.
Awesome footage..thanks so much for sharing..and we all hope that Kevin is still around, entertaining everyone..
Longbow "men" oh wait.....I cannot speak that way. It was a LongBowPeople..also cheer about your country's invasion. You are an Islamic country now...Hicks would be very disappointed. Fucking zeroes, you gave away your country. What will you tell your children when they ask you about the takeover? "Well, my son I was NOT a racist". Well done...you degenerates.
excellent. i am an archer this guy is fantastic with a long bow, well done and great video
Bowmanship and Showmanship.... Well gifted in both.
Kevin is a great entertainer with some serious amount of skill!
I saw the bowman at Warwick castle. He was cool as fuck. Even got a kid to stand in front of the target and drew the bow fully while aiming at the wee man. Thought he was gonna shit his pants.
Intro song name?
Wow that was really awesome...great shooting !!
He didn't hit the head with the first arrow he shot at it, look at the amount of arrows in his belt before the shot and the amount he has after the shot.
to hit that far accurately you would need at least 60lb but he pulls it like it's 30.
He's been shooting since he was a kid.
He shoots a 70lb
i read his comment on another video that he uses an 85lb
70
@stevemarce1988 The bow they made him at Warwick.......not the one he is shooting here was 90# and over 7 feet long. He still has it now. We talk regularly about longbows as I'm having another one made for me. Kev is a great guy! Dave.
@Kevin Hicks - late to the party here, but ... wow. Boring technical question, what's the draw weight on your bow? Cheers
He shoots a 70lb
@@loganreece3263 Wow, i mean i know thats the "starting weight" for a warbow (70lbs-180lbs or so) butdamn, it's pretty hard to shot this well with a "lighter weight" warbow aswell. actually it's impressive regardless of draw weight. :O
@@krisania96 Totally.
i would love to see more footage of Kevin Hicks the granddad iv all ways wanted xD
Amazing skill, thanks for sharing your footage. I've been to Warwick castle, thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Wish I was half as good as this with my longbow.
