Latching relay (start - stop) Circuit Wizard simulation
มุมมอง 2.2Kปีที่แล้ว
This circuit uses a normally open (N/O) push-to-make switch to latch the relay on and a normally closed (N/C) push-to-break switch to reset the latch. When the start switch is closed, the coil is powered and the relay contacts change position. When the start switch is released, the coil remains powered via the relay contacts until the stop switch is pressed. NO SOUND ON THIS VIDEO

WEG CFW300 VFD failure on surface grinder
มุมมอง 403ปีที่แล้ว
Is this a common fault? The VFD is just over 2 years old and appears to have failed. It spins the motor up no problem but appears to indicate an output frequency of 60 Hz (contrary to the programmed settings) and has an intermittent fault on the screen. I've tried reseating the internal interconnect between the display and main board but the fault remains.

Harrison 14 inch swing metal lathe for sale
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Posting this video to help a couple sell this lathe on behalf of their elderly father. The sale is genuine and the lathe appears to be in good vintage condition. The lathe comes with a 4 jaw independent and 3 jaw self centering chuck, fixed steady rest, travelling steady rest and at least two faceplates (I think). The lathe is housed in a home workshop with reasonable access via a tarmac driveway.
HSS shell milling cutter | Adcock Shipley 1ESG vintage milling machine
มุมมอง 927ปีที่แล้ว
A short video showing my Adcock Shipley 1ESG milling machine in action. I'm using a HSS shell milling cutter (on a 40 international taper shank) to machine some scrap mild steel that will be made into replacement jaws for the milling machine vice. In this video clip I'm taking it easy with a depth of cut about 3 or 4 mm and 20 mm wide. I'm applying soluble cutting oil with a hand held sprayer a...

Milling through cast iron vice | Adcock & Shipley 1ESG milling machine
มุมมอง 720ปีที่แล้ว
A short video (no narration) showing a HSS shell mill being used to mill through the body of a cast iron milling vice. The vice is being milled down and will be converted into fixture for a surface grinder. Spindle speed is about 200 RPM and feed rate is about 20mm / min (0.8 in / min). Feed rate can be increased without excessive vibration. There is some vibration on exiting the cut and I inte...
Help required to identify this unknown lathe compound slide
มุมมอง 1822 ปีที่แล้ว
As per the video title, I need some help identifying what lathe this likely came from. It is a little bit different from a "standard" cross slide or compound slide found on the lathes I have previously used. Any help appreciated.
Boxford metal lathe for sale
มุมมอง 2.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Vintage Boxford metal lathe for sale. This lathe must be sold to make room for another project. It is currently fitted with a virtually brand new and not cheap single to 3 phase vfd and 3 phase motor. I am considering all *sensible* offers with or without the vfd and motor in the deal. I have other motors if needed. The back gear works well and is not damaged. The lathe bed is marked in places ...
Black and Decker 6" Junior Bench Grinder Polisher (Vintage - possibly 1950s/60s?) NVR upgrade
มุมมอง 3922 ปีที่แล้ว
A random look at my vintage bench grinder / polisher which may date back to the 1950s / 1960s. As you can see from the video, it is in excellent cosmetic condition and full working order. The original rubber coated / sheathed wiring was deteriorating and so it was trimmed back to the windings and new tails fitted. You'll also note that I added an NVR switch which I consider to be much safer tha...
Running a vintage Delco Rotary Transformer (12/24 VDC input, 574 VDC output)

hey can you do the same with male to female wires and then to a bread board
i just realised that it is female wire but still can you connect it to a bred board afterwards
Thank you :)
Excellent
Nicely done - I'll be showing this to my grandkids
Perfect! Never soldered a diode before and this video worked! Thanks!
nice video thank you
A great video on how the electric motor works I have learnt so much thank you having owned myford lathes since the 90's which use these motors
Helpful

Best explanation
Very nice.
Absolutely stellar explanations and demonstrations. I'm finally starting to understand! Thank you so much. (ps You used the term "mutual" at one point and I take it that it's the same as "common" - I love it.)
Thank yo for taking time to produce this video. I have been exploring using a 556 setup with the first side creating approximately 24KHz. That triggering the second side as a mono-stable creating a pulse that is variable between 20% and 80% of the 41 micro second wave. I will certainly attempt to apply your theory. However in all humbleness allow me to give some feed back. The video portion is clear, but the audio portion is quite distorted suck as you would find in a musical effect called "phasing or flanging". Some of us deaf old farts up here in the US find that and the accent as a reason to squint our ears : ) IE. It was hard to understand you. I still say thanks for the video just the same.
Best and easy to understand video on this topic i have found so far! Thank you! Would be great to also do an overview of typical anti-sparc measures to protect semiconductors like transistors/mosfets when switching DC with inductors. What about fast flyback-diodes versus RC-snubber? What about varistors and TVS suppressor diodes? What are the optimal measures to protect a mosfet? Can you combine these methods for better results?
I just have a question about the decoding part, how do we identify the code without the spaces ?
hello there, any suggestions on lubricating the gears? i stupidly used oil and now the oil has dripped down the quill and splashes all around when the spindle turns fast (my t shirts now have a horizontal oil line on the chest area😂)… should i reopen it up , remove the oil and use grease instead? thx
Where did you lube it? The bearings need grease and the gears don't really need anything as they're some type of phenolic. I just rebuilt mine and didn't use much of anything on the gears. Maybe a light film of grease.
@ thank you for the reply! i actually dripped oil from the filling ports on top of the gearbox, i guess i used too much!
Frequency?
thx you mate you saved me A LOT OF TIME liked the video
I guess the smaller should be on the left ?
love the bgm, sounds like a classic 90s porn
What gauge is the wire you are using for mini
Great video, is there anyway for this to work with 4 LEDs?
If I have 12 v supply and want to put 12 led’s of 2V each what resistance I will need? Or 12v supply is to small?
Too many to have them all in series. You could split them into 3 parallel branches of 4 resistors each. Other conditions also possible. Each branch would need its own current limiting resistor. To calculate the resistance and power rating you'd need to specify the LED forward current.
I need help I accidentally moved my plugin off my screen now it’s lost I’ve tried reinstalling sketchup still the same thing
Orbital sander is not more effiecent? and not detroying metal sheet
I would appreciate this even more if you had mentioned the property of prefix-free codes. otherwise, one could get confused about how to determine where one code ends and the next one begins.
still, that's hell of a job the way you explained it, thank you so much!
When you are calculating the energy stored in the coil, as you assuming that it is oscillating at the coil’s resonant frequency? Because a coil’s voltage and capacitance varies depending on the frequency of the LC circuit and it only achieves it’s maximum energy storage value when it is oscillating in resonance.

Is there some impedance matching going on in this example? Great video
In practice, I found it difficult to get reliable values for the inductance L for solenoids. The iron losses are highly dependent on frequency, which is not well definable for this switching circuit. If there is a better way, please let me know

Nice demo.
Thanks!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
great video , thanks for sharing the valuable knowledge.
Glad it was helpful!
that looks perfect .goin to try this way as before i saw this i just used to melt my leds by holding the iron on too long
Did it work?

please i found this error>> no psect defined for the line what is the meaning?
You failed to observe the correct orientation of the seam. It needs to face up in the jaws otherwise the die will not complete the crimp in the correct form, leading to poor compression and possible failure.

amazing tutorial thanks
Thank you. A very useful and excellent video. I used to know this but have long forgotten it. Erich a 76 year old teacher
Yeah but where would you store the tree structure? That is still ambivalent to me, without the tree you cant figure out what is what oh wait I get it, its like any other thing where the table is generated instead of static, you store the table, or at least enough information to generate it alright there we go thank you!!!!!!
What did you set you temp to for the soldering iron?
How would it work if there were more symbols to account for? And then there would be I, and II in the same algorithm. How would we know to differentiate between 2 I or 1 II? Hope I'm making some sense!
I don't seem to have the mpasm compiler I've tried searching for it, and cannot find it Where do you install it from?
You sound just like photonicinduction lol
The node with value 4 should be on the right side instead of A3 because it has a larger value. So, node with value 7 has left child of A3 and right child of 4
