I like the proportions/spect ratio better (visually). The macro mode gives nice effects, but there must be a lot of light, a better battery, a brighter screen (it gets so bright outside that in my opinion it makes it difficult to assess the exposure when recording HDR - the image looks slightly washed out, but it really isn't). The phone is easier for the average user. Unfortunately, the VIDEO application limits me and the lack of VideoPRO unfortunately bothers me. The only major novelty (apart from the macro mode and 48mpx) is recording slow motion immediately with sound - which can then be used in a creative way - in the X1V model we have to do it in the software (slowing down from 120 to 30fps with sound). If VideoPro come back it will be better phone, but now it is hard to say.

In terms of advance Video recordings, yes 1V is better at now because it has VideoPro app (1VI should get that in A15 update). 1VI is easier phone for normal user and it records slow motion with sound. But in terms of photos 1VI has new Macro mode on the telephoto lens. Most of shots in this video are made with this lens from hand - it is not easy to hold steady lens it this mode - you need very sunny day.

If you are watching from the recommended distance, you won't notice a difference. I think you like look at your phone screen from 2 centimeters away Einstein.

That looks incredible. Ridiculous question considering the camera this was filmed on but are you excited for the Xperia 1 VI? Miffed that the video features are coming later? Just curious to hear your thoughts as someone who's taken full advantage of it's video features.

Sony probably didn't want the Xperia to compete too much with 1-inch and Apsc cameras, although this is quite strange when the iPhone has flat profiles and Sony sensors. I know that Sony's departments compete with each other - the Cine, Alpha, Xperia and semicoductor departments. Xperia will be great if the VideoPro application returns - I don't know yet whether the base application has HLG, but I don't think so. I was going to buy it but I'll wait until the update. A telephoto lens with a macro function could be an interesting challenge for me when recording 4K120fps with HDR :) Thanks for the kind words, I'm still learning. Regards, Luke.

Ciężko było trochę dociąć bo wiele ujęć się trzęsło, nie było czasu dużo a priorytetem był film z Alphy. Natomiast co do 1VI postaram jeśli sie będzie dało przetestować, aczkolwiek ultra mocno rozważam zakup 1VI (liczyłem nawet domowy budżet 😋 ). 24mm ma mieć ponoć F1.4, ma być nowy jaśniejszy ekran. Czekam do środy na pełny konfig. 1V to niesamowity sprzęt właśnie do filmowania przyrody (UTS porusza ten wątek). Ja wszystkie filmy nagrywam z ręki, specjalnie by pokazać, że wystarczy sam telefon by coś w miarę 'stworzyć' . Natomiast z gimbalem to już by była bajka (aczkolwiek troszkę zabiera to mikro "element" własnej twórczości, no i zajmuje miejsce).

@@lucasn82_ no f1.4 to już petarda. Zobaczymy pełną specyfikację już niebawem. Ciekawe co Japończycy stworzyli. Napewno kupię 5 lub 1 nawet na raty hehe. Muszę coś mieć pod ręką lekkiego no i dla mnie 4k 60p ważne. Aha niewiem jak się ten tryb nazywa w jakim nagrywasz filmy s log czy cinematic ale wolę normalne naturalne kolory a ten tryb wygląda jakby troszkę był obraz przymglony. To nie dla mnie. Potrzebuje naturalnego oddania kolorów natury. Powiedz mi proszę czy jest jakiś zwykły tryb do nagrywania w 4k 60p lub 120p w twojej 1 V. Bardzo by mi to pomogło bo widzę że masz wiedzę i doświadczenie z Sony. Ps a co powiesz o 5 V niewiem czy masz ale widziałem jakieś nagranie u ciebie z 5 lV. Dzięki za odpowiedź 👍

​@@lesnytropiciel No sam jestem ciekaw specyfikacji. 1. Filmy nagrywam w trybie HLG (to HDR BT2020, który ma dużą rozpiętość oraz zawiera dane do SDR - czyli jak wrzucisz na YT to osoba posiadająca ekran HDR ma HDR, natomiast na ekranach SDR materiał powinien wyglądać w "miarę" poprawnie)/s-log może będzie w 1VI (apka do montowania filmów która jest wgrana w telefon konwertuje HLG do SDR czyli rec709). 2. Na jakim ekranie to oglądasz? Najlepiej na ekranie HDR OLED z dużą jasnością. Jeśli piszesz o przymgleniu niektórych sampli to czasem wpada światło w obiektyw pod takim kątem, ze pojawia się i flara i zamglenie (ale jest to ultra rzadkie). Polecam obejrzeć "Under the sun" od 3 minuty i 40 sekundy i tam ocenić jakość (tam byłem bardziej skupiony; masz tam mix 24mm i 85mm+paralaksa z 85mm - trawa która rośnie). 3. Jest zwykły tryb SDR ale tracisz rozszerzoną rozpiętość/są tryby twórce/s-cinetone. Można nagrywać 24, 30fps, 60fps i 120fps (120fps można nagrywać w slomotion oraz 120fps bez - wtedy masz dźwięk, ultra płynność i możesz to potem spowolnić). 4. Filmy z 5V są na kanale - brak teleobiektywu trochę boli w przypadku nagrywania przyrody (aczkolwiek 85mm z ręki nie jest łatwym obiektywem do nagrywania), troszkę częściej pojawiają się ścinki przy nagrywaniu 120fps. Są dodatkowo na kanale filmy nagrane 5V (microcosmos SDR - ten pierwszy) oraz 1V (Drifters) które zostały zmontowane apką VideoCreator (HLG do SDR), czyli nagrane z ręki telefonem i zmontowane w telefonie... więc tylko telefon tam został użyty. Pzdr

@@lucasn82_ bardzo mało wiem o tym terenie tam była o ile nie wiem czy nadal jest dorożka z koniem miliom osób wsiada i ciągnie pod górkę a ty wdychaj jak kon robi swoje 😉

@wnj765 Dorożki są nadal ale według mnie to absurd tam jechać gdzie na około jest tyle ukrytych ładnych miejsc. No chyba że ktoś z dzieckiem małym jest. My wyszliśmy o 10 : 30, a na miejscu byliśmy około 14-15stej z czego nakręciłem 2 filmy z Xperii i Alphy po drodze (a czasem trzeba gimbal zaprogramować).

U mnie na kanale dowiecie się prawdy o Xperiach. Wady/minusy jak tylko ktoś spyta też się znajdą.

@@roboburr I tested it maybe 2-3 times with a friend on his iPhone and it's a very nice recording application. However, I did not notice any advantage over the VideoPro application. I want BT2020 output on VideoCreator App 😋

Video was create specially for BT2020 and high contrast/brightness HDR displays. Play it on 1V display (or high contrast OLED) and it should looks ok.

No filters, HDR with just white balance (AWB) set. For example the first sample and second wrere recorded with different AWB setting (auto and cloudy or sunny - I dont remember now) - thats why sky and colors are different.

@philippillis9393 film was almost fully recorded in VideoPro App without any filters. CinemaPro has different HDR performance (its harder to achive proper exposure). Samples 21:9 were rec in CienamaPro.

Maybe in future, at now Im finishing 3 more videos. I hope you all enjoy. Its not that hard, all samples in this film are orginal straight from phone - you get this quality using smartphone itself. Paid software is only needed to combine samples in this quality.

Im still learning. Sometimes I want to show to much in video, I know that, but I like it.

Samples was just combine in the software that output the same color space (rec2100). All samples on my channel with prefix "VideoPro" are straight from phone - there are 2 samples from Under the sun that were release before film, you can play it and compare with film. You can find prefix in samples description. More new samples are on the way... You all be suprise.

I didnt tested. Once I launch selfie video and it was ok but a lot depends on whether the light falls directly into the lens and wether it is 100% clean.

Interestingly, most of the shots were taken while riding a bike (you can even see it on the video ☺) to go shopping, because the film was shot in Krakow, and the best ones in my opinion (e.g. Ramaria Bonord - corals/mushrooms and trees) were shot 200 meters from the supermarket. I visited most of these places for the first time and I was surprised by how much we don't notice - that's why this video was created. Yours faithfully :) 👋

@@wnj765 5V nie ma teleobiektywu który przy video czasem daje mega fajne efekty. Mniej pamięci, trochę więcej szarpania przy 120fps. Wróciłem z kolejnych testów 1V oraz tym razem wziąłem inny sprzet dodatkowo (tu nie będę zdradzał). Mnie nadal szokuje 1V, rozpiętość HDR praktycznie taka sama jak na pełnej klatce. Film w trakcie tworzenia.

@@lucasn82_ telekobiekytw mnie nieinteresuje wcale .120fps takze . HDR bezpośrednio z telefonu robi robote bo jest idealnie kompatybilne z yt w przeciwieństwie do iphona gdzie wszystko jest przepalone . Szkoda ze 1% ludzi na świecie ten model kupi 🙄 .Sony ma zdaje się ma pelnoklatkowe czujniki w kamerach .

Sometimes a little stuttering is visible. I only tested the phone without a SIM card inside. Just a phone. I admit that I recorded many times in a very hot environment in 4K120 resolution (black housing/chassis). But as I just say, phone was without sim.
