DCS: Attack Warning Red (Cinematic)
มุมมอง 134หลายเดือนก่อน
Well, this is more of a DCS x Threads x Shadow President. One hell of a combination, isn't it? Originally, I actually wanted to make a Victor Alert style mission, but decided to go for cinematic instead. Credits: Audio at start and blue text scenes are straight from Threads. DCS World. Heatblur for F-4E Phantom. DEFCON for that one sound effect. Shadow President.

DISCLAIMER: THIS VIDEO IS PURELY FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES. IT DOES NOT REFLECT OR RECREATE EVENTS OF THE ONGOING WAR. This video was a bit pain to create. I didn't quite figure out how to make it 1920 x 1080. That being said, the scenario was quite cool in the mission, so I checked it out. Also Su-33 is Ukrainian here. Mission maker decided this.
DCS World - F-14B Tomcat: Endless Sea (Cinematic)
มุมมอง 290หลายเดือนก่อน
I made this for something more relaxed, atmospheric. Just a little flight above the clouds. Not much action now. Originally, I wanted to use some PS1 era song for it, but just couldn't find the vibe for it. Music used: Steins;Gate - Urd

And another example of showing of my flight sim selection. IL-2 1946 is a classic. I used to play it a lot as a teenager. Nowadays, I still return to it. This mission is based on a real mission done by RAF Beaufighters, but this video is not a recreation of it. Just gameplay showcase. I ended the mission before I could land, so it kind of ends abruptly. You can download mission here. It was cre...
EF2000 RELOADED (1995) - Eurofighters vs Su-35's

Since I've already had Tornado and DCS covered quite extensively on this channel, perhaps its time to show off some of some of my flight sim palatte. EF2000 happens to be among them. It is also an awesome simulator, my 2nd favorite DOS one, right after Tornado. For now, I'll show more simpler scenarios, since I still have to get used to EF2000 a bit. This is also the RELOADED version. Just a si...

DCS World - F-15J (Cinematic)
มุมมอง 637หลายเดือนก่อน
My first true cinematic. It's in rather japanese cartoon style. It's the opening theme of Patlabor. I honestly made this on a whim, to further test my boundaries. I hope you enjoy! While a lot of shots aren't really that dynamic, I'm still satisfied with the result. Just that it looks more like....lets say like a cartoon. But stylized can be cool, right?
TORNADO (1993) - TORNADO ADV: Barrier Combat Air Patrol
มุมมอง 72หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video, I demonstrate the 2nd variant present in the game: Tornado ADV. It's quite different from GR / IDS, in a sense that it's an interceptor. This is also where I goof up the landing. Still uploading it, because sometimes failures can also be studied. I jammed my flaps and essentially ruined my whole mission.

This is a similar concept I did with RAF Phantoms on Cyprus before, but I added few spices. I do not own music in this video, it's from Patlabor 2. The track is called Wyvern.
Gulf War Games for Aircraft Enthusiasts

After the release of a certain AAA title and its lackluster depiction of the most successful military campaign in US military history, I have decided to showcase 3 games that capture the feeling of Operation Desert Storm quite well. The version shown here is the SNES one. First one is Desert Strike, which is more of an action game than a simulator. Great fun, though! In it, you pilot Apache and...

I was assigned as an engineering officer to the RSAF in the early 80's and the base I was on flew Lightnings. Extremely impressive! Unfortunately, one plane and pilot was lost on the gunnery range during my stay. I got to know the maintenance group well and got to 'fly' the Lightning simulator. However I 'crashed' the simulator after running out of fuel attempting to land!
Was that the Thunderbirds theme in the beginning?
Thunderbird 1 adopted the Lightning wing design with swing wings.
This is fascinating and well done. Thank you for some hidden history.
EEL is what you get when you force feed baked beans and tea to a MiG-21. Came beacuse of your comment on my video, stayed for the F-15 banner and pfp (3000 F-15EX for 15. brigada letalstva in PZO in my opinion)
Ngl this plane looks like mig 21 that has gained a bit of weight
we captured lots of arms and tanks and bilions of wepons from jna
I had no idea that DCS world was not only used in physical flight simulators, but flight simulators made from actual parts of the planes being simulated
I actually had a go at it in Pivka. It's really cool.
Nice! I did not have idea about the incursions to Austria. You could make a video about the creation of the Croatian Air Force and their migs!
now, that was Perfect spoken English :) I could undertand some.
I recently visited Slovenia. Very beautiful and historical country. And great story and video.
Thanks for the charming story. Appreciate the research that went into it, and the appreciation of a good Gazelle.
Nice somebody remembered this story. But it is very incomplete. There was a lot going on in the preparation and the logistics of the detection. It was , actually, much more exciting than portrayed in this video.
I wasn't expecting this story to be about how Slovenia acquired its first military helicopter, but that's a hell of a way to get your first helicopter. I think it's awesome that you're making these videos, historical stories like these should not go untold, and you do it with a professional but easy-to-understand way.
Cheers! It surprised me even, because I didn't expect the story of Slovenia getting its first Gazelle to be rather involved. There is more to come to regarding historical aviation videos.
@@TuposAviationChannel Good video! Wait `till you find out about how Croatian Air Force got its first fighter-interceptor jets (MiG-21s). THREE of them. Hint: in the same way =)
Why not in COD?! 🤔
Great little documentary! Keep the nice work up! The yugoslav wars were always quite a complicated mess from my foreign (🇨🇿) point of view, full of untold stories, in which i became interested quite recently. And with your aviation content, there goes subscribe! ❤
I suppose even a short war can produce interesting incidents like this one
Yeah, Slovenian War of Independence has quite a few stand out moments when it comes to aviation history. One particularly interesting incident that was mentioned in Aleksandar Radić's book was when a single MiG-29 Fulcrum had to make an emergency landing in Cerklje. It is a very obscure event, but it was interesting none than less. Also the fact Austrian SAAB Draken's were deployed for intercepts when Yugoslav aircraft made incursions.
Briefing seemed to indicate flying a model with 4X20mm + 6X.303, but wings have 4X.50, or am I being too picky. I just like to know what the armament is and how it would be best utilized. Great vid! Thanks! Beaufighters are very interesting aircraft with their diversity and balance.
That's a great video and a great looking livery, too!
Thank you! For the livery, all credit goes to _YaeSakura_. They make some of the best Tomcat liveries out there. Also gonna link it here too. www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314534/
GG!! NICE !!
dawg 1995 is this good 😮
Awesome man!
You did a magnificent job, love it!
Grinding war thunder japaneese tech tree, hopefully will get this plane soon
you should try to add some kind of filter over the video to make it look more 2D
i mean the next video dont change this one
Honestly good idea. If I do another JASDF related video, I'll keep this in mind.
I can already tell this is gonna be the best anime of the winter season
The last seconds before touching down did probably include (EDIT: nope, landing gear was live and kicking; caution: steep sink rate by landing autopilot which deactivates seconds before touch down (then raise the nose somewhat to reduce sink rate) combined with heavy fuel tanks) you pushing "g" to extend the landing gear (thus the text "crash landing due to gear collapse" at the debriefing screen), so the status went from dark (up) to red (extending), but did not reach green (fully down and secured). If in doubt land with gears up (the undercarriage of the tornado is designed to withstand that stress level) or accelerate and go around one more time without touching the ground (which will immediately decrease speed rapidly due to heavy friction forces).
I also did a mistake of putting down flaps too quickly, which made it land so hard that it basically ended me. ADV is a variant I still need to practice a lot to, since it's quite different from GR.
@@TuposAviationChannel Main 2 differences are: the ADV has no TFR (terrain following radar) and starts with the fuel tanks equipped by default (which is a nuisance to me, you can jettison them with "shift + j" (or was it ctrl + j?, just activate the green light on bottom left yellow striped panel), those increase weight and drag, avoid them by unselecting, go higher in safe space instead(ADV luckily is designed to be used above 20000ft, so make good use of that thin air (less fuel use by 100 % engine rpm)), also enjoy the skyflash AMRAAM by fire and forget (range approximately: 12nm if target is closing towards you, 5nm to 8nm if running away depending on target speed). +6 aim-9L sidewinders are nice to have for defending against enemy CAP (try going even higher towards 30000ft or 35000ft before meeting them close face-to-face, so they have to climb, thin air grants less maneuverability, so they won't do lots of their shenanigans which can be marvelled at lower heights). Use chaff against pinky-orange missiles (radar guided), flares against deep red missiles (IR), try getting a feeling for the deploy rhythm (chaff every 2 sec farther away, don't start too early, 1 sec in close range), Flare deployment every 1 sec, you should use about 3 flares per enemy IR-missile that way. The fuel consumption in those heights could be about 1/5 or 1/6 of that in low level heights, so you buy yourself good time up high. Try memorizing allied SAM sites (the blue AA-button, between ground force unit and EWR coverage during mission planning), to fend off enemy CAP, which lock onto your aircraft and greatly accelerate towards you. They make enemy aircraft go into tail between legs mode.
Oh, watching again, your landing gear was extended, so the sink rate was too high? I totally blame the fuel drop tanks, making the airplane only heavy and sluggish. I loved "Tornado" for that fine tuning feeling, having some freedom to choose the loadout.
If mods for games are also to be considered, there's a very detailed Operation Desert Storm mod for Strike Fighters 2, remade entirely for the 30th anniversary, first released in 2021. I lead a team of fantastic modders in its development. It offers the most complete and accurate order of battle with over 140 aircraft, each aircraft and squadron even having correct decals and serial numbers, and with all units beginning missions when they did in reality. That recently released AAA first person shooter got the Gulf War terribly wrong, no date for its missions matches what really happened (the Coalition ground forces crossing into Kuwait in early February is a huge WTF)
I really, REALLY wanna get into DCS in a big way. Been playing flight Sims since Janes Fighters Anthology but I'm afraid that my wife and kids will never see me again...
That is a very lucky Frogfoot
Damn, a game made 2 years after desert storm, kinda rare sight these days
Operation Grandby, January 1991. Never forget.
An unmatched Advanced Mission Planner. It has stood the test of time for the past 31 years!
It genuinely is one of the best. Mission Planner is one of the big reasons why Tornado is so replayable. Once I get a better hold of it, I'm gonna do a COMMAND run as well. Planning a whole campaign sounds electrifying!
@TuposAviationChannel well you have the genius of Robin Heydon to thank for as he wrote the AMP, menu interface and Tornado's dynamic campaign. He went on to work for Microprose, where he also coded the dynamic campaign engine of Falcon 4.0.
Nice job !
Great mission. Atmospheric!
