This video was recommended to me in my feed and I'm so glad it was! So often these types of videos I see on my feed are just "What I sew/knit/crochet" so I really like this take on it of like "here is EVERYTHING I bought into my life this year". It really got me thinking! As someone who considers themselves quite eco concious e.g. I try to only shop second hand etc, I still didn't realise how much I was bringing into my life even from second hand. So thank you so much for this video! It's definitely been a eureka moment for me and started a shift in how I think about my consumption further.

i have so many thoughts i hope i can remember them all hehe. all your creations are lovely, but that purple shirt is especially impressive to me and looks so good on you! also that lavender and pale green top with the tank and skirt in those same colors was such a wonderful outfit, very springtime feeling. i’ve been progressing on my crochet learning endeavor and this was very inspiring, and also makes me want to learn to knit other stitches. understanding how to make clothes from yarn is so intimidating to me because patterns i’ve seen seem to revolve so much around counting stitches and rows and abbreviations that are baffling to my untrained brain 😂 but i am excited to learn more. i will definitely check out the patterns and people you referenced. lastly i loved hearing you talk about marxist feminist textile history and if you ever wanted to share more about that i would be all ears! was thinking about what the women in my family generations ago in poland might’ve knitted as you wrapped up your thoughts, and i love thinking of textile craft as being subversive and revolutionary
