Te Whau Pathway Auckland
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 1 มิ.ย. 2021
Te Whau Pathway Project is more than just building a shared path. It is about making great communities even better. The pathway, following 12 kilometres of riverbank between Te Atatu and New Lynn, will open up access to one of the most beautiful rivers in Auckland.
3D Visualisation of Te Whau Pathway
HEB Construction’s use of a 3D model, created in-house with their BIM team (Building Information Modeling), was aimed at helping their construction team visualise the boardwalk design and plan the construction process. The 3D model also allowed HEB assess how the boardwalk would interact with the existing environment, identifying crucial ecological areas, such as salt marshes and protected trees, that needed preservation.
This approach enabled HEB to address potential issues before construction began and it helped them manage technical challenges related to fitting together thousands of structural pieces - minimising clashes and fitment problems before work started on-site. Recently, the BIM team developed the 3D model into a fly-through to help the local community visualise the final outcome more effectively than pictures.
Amy O’Donnell from HEB Construction said
“By providing a visual representation of the project, we aim to build an understanding about what we are constructing so we can share our excitement with the wider community, because we believe that this is a really awesome project and we are proud of our part in delivering it. We hope that it serves as a valuable tool for everyone to see the project's future potential and the benefits it will bring to the surrounding area.”
