    Actually it's alot faster just to use use a 3ton car jack just center it where the rod holds the deck up in the front.😊

    Installed these on a riding mower th-cam.com/users/postUgkxetgfkJxfdT_B2vGYP-uNTLaBbim9OKTD . They were sharp out of the box, although I've never liked blade edges that were coated...not quite as sharp as I personally want. Using my belt sander, I removed the coating from the cutting edges and refined the edge enough to shave with them. So far, after three runs, these blades are holding up as expected. Even after hitting a few fallen 1/2 inch or so branches, the edges are still sharp as heck. No edge dings, no warping, etc. As far as installing them, the cutouts were of the proper size and shape to fit my aging Craftsman mower. Very satisfied.

    You could have invested in a ratchet strap for 20 bucks and hang from garage ceiling rafters or if you don’t have drywall ceiling wrap it around easy peasy also get rid of the POS electric impact…

    1:09 Did that take several tries before the starter got cranking? My new Cub Cadet has had that several times already where it seems like the starter relay isn't closing the connection properly, just the click of the solenoid but no cranking, had to repeat it several times before it cranked and fired up. Don't think it's the battery as it cranks quickly when it does crank. Tends to do this only on a hot restart, haven't seen it cold yet. But it's only been tried for three mowing sessions so far.

    You didn't remove the spark plugs wires before you removed the blades. Very dangerous. A friend of mines dad was working underneath his tractor and accidentally crossed the starter with a screwdriver and started it up in gear. It moved forward with a disc attached and shreded him alive. Shit happens when we least expect it.

    • @chriswebster24
      @chriswebster24 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, on the bright side, being shredded alive sure beats being shredded dead. Your friend’s dad is lucky, because it could have been a lot worse.

    • @coyote311
      @coyote311 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's hydro-static dude. There is no "in gear". Even if by some small miracle a person managed to arc start it while underneath it, someone or something would have to be continuously pressing the engagement pedal forward AND maintaining weight on the seat to keep the kill mechanism from engaging AND manage to engage the PTO to activate the blades. I do this for a living and can honestly say none of my techs or I ever remove the plugs for a simple blade change / sharpening and not a single one of us have ever had even one of the above occurrences happen, much less all simultaneously.
