Spyro 2 is annoying for me. ALl this gameplay stops for people to talk. I realy hate this. For me itis Spyro 1 that is cozy.

i'm pretty sure has answered you this. tortoise is land creature while turtle is sea. turtles has flippers and the shells appear more flat than tortoises.

Spyro 1 Cozier

I just finished a playthrough of Reignited YotD and made sure I played as inefficiently as possible to not only get to say no to Moneybags once every time, but also to get him to insult me for being poor every time.

I'm playing the Reignited Trilogy and so far, right after beating the excellent Spyro 1 and jumping into Spyro 2, I find the level design to be simply atrocious. Sorry, but Spyro 2 is lackluster to me - worse level design, bad minigames, cringy cutscenes, it's all pretty mediocre to me. After 100%ing four or five levels I said enough is enough and skipped to Spyro 3, thinking they would continue with Spyro 2's design philosophy, but no - they basically went back to the design philosophy of Spyro 1 and I'm so happy, cause Spyro 1 became one of my favorite platformers of all time just a few days ago.

I was so disappointed with the character re deigns in Spyro Reignited. The muppet style in the original was so much more unique and other worldly. Granted it was due to limitations probably but the push to make everything more realistic in modern games just takes away the charm. Great video. The bit where Ripto scared Moneybags off the castle in Autumn Plains is one of my favorite moments and the wasted montage made me laugh so much :D

This video is very very unfocused for what the title of the video eludes too. You dip your toes into the coziness of Spyro for 4 minutes than you veer off into something, than into something and than something else. You need to be more focused and think how Spyro is cozy and than stick with it while also acknowledging the non coziness of Spyro. If you wanted to make a rant video at least be honest in your title.

When I was a kid I would turn on Spyro 2 and go to the level where it starts with a green area with a flowing river weaving through it and I'd just float down the river for hours. I've never beaten Spyro 2 or gotten further than the electricity level (it scared me as a kid) but finding my own ways to have fun in video games and not forcing myself to finish games that aren't fun anymore is a core part of my adult personality. I am the anti-completionist and it just makes the few games I've beaten start to finish 3+ times all the more special to me.

My favourite thing about this game that I only realised after Reignited came out, was the voice acting, especially all the level NPCs. They all just sound so silly and stupidly charming. The monks from Colossus and Bo Beep in Zephyr being my favourites

Why do you only apply this ''cozyness'' effect to Spyro 2? the whole ps1 Trilogy has the same pattern. They are all cozy. I hate nostalgia people.

This is my favourite Spyro. And totally agree with you on the hub levels. I remember exactly the weeks I played this game first time. I could not put it down 😂 I loved the level design with different objectives and I wish RATCHET had this (sometimes it does but I mean much more). The new moves included in this game made it a 10/10 in my book. Spyro 3 on the contrary had too many novelties, all those new playable characters were just terrible and killed the pace.

We got 3 Spyro the dragon games but we only got 1 Mario 64 game. The sports and kart game don’t count since they’re spin off series.

The answer is because it's a good game that you played when you were a kid. I only played 1 and 3 as a kid, so those games feel much more "cozy" to me.

I just love this game, my favourite Spyro in the trilogy. Probably is also because of those short cutscenes at the start and the end of a level, which has you said give a lot of flavour to the characters and their behaviours. I agree with the Colossus letdown in the remakes because I was just obsessed with the monks chant and was very disappointed in hearing that modified version.
