The thing that always impressed me about Tom Waits live shows - obviously he’s a great entertainer - is the SHIT HOT team of tru blue Muso musicians he could pull together… take any combination - from any era - the bands are tight tight tight tight man. It’s incredible

Seen tom in the late 80s in the Olympia theater here in Dublin ,Ireland and it was the best gig I have ever seen to date , opened up with big American fridge in the middle of stage everything else all in darkness , a hand appears in the darkness and opens the fridge and pulls out one of those old Elvis microphones and Tom says hello , and then proceeds to ask us if we we had ever been to the used Porn shop. The audience was thoroughly devoured with laughter , and the whole night he was so funny and the music was just amazing , he is one of the best entertainers on the planet .

"Never trust a man in a blue trench coat" the similarities between me and Tom become madder every song i hear, because people (probably even Tom) think this is just out of the thumb made up rubbish, but i actually don't trust people who wear a blue trench coats and i have reasons for it. I also never wear blue, because i believe god told me to never wear blue. I gotten a card from god that said "god wants to see all his children happy" then i asked "cute, but how do i get happy?" Then i gotten a list of 53 or so rules to live by to be happy, 1 of the rules was to never wear blue. I told one of my hackers this and he wears blue eversince..

Tom waits was in a great movie called seven psychopaths. He played one of the psychopaths that would carry around a white bunny 🐰 i won't go to much into it but its a must watch 🔥🔥🔥. Very good actors in this moive

A film is a rather elaborate song. A song is a compressed film. A song can tell the story of a film in lesser time. Especially if it has a music video to come with it a song is essentially a short film.

this is great but I'm Big In Japan, is still my favorite Tom Waits, what a cool guy, the first time I heard him, was his version of On Downtown Train, I loved it, did he do a version of Tangled Up In Blues? Maybe it was Dilyn in his later days, or else it was someone who had a hell of a chest infection, not saying Wat's voice is bad, quite the opposite, I wish could have kept my husky deep voice after my chest infection got better, I sounded like a cool guy too,,,sounded like one,, :\ Hey Tom Waits was f**king great in the Jim Jarmusch movies, that director is another cool guy.
