Are you the same Michael Murphy who made the album "For All You Mad Musicians" ??? It was 45 years or so ago.......
Your music is like nothing else. The flutes are magical. Your songs…I feel them. Thank you Michael.
Cool! You must be proud of this footage being aired! A great piece for posterity. Nice keyboard skills! I used to dabble with various instruments, including keyboards, harmonica, drums and bass guitar, but these days I just play guitar and ukulele, write songs and sing. My two sons both sing and play guitar, and my paternal grandfather (who died long before I was born) was a very good banjo player.
Bravoooo!!👏👏👏👏😎🙌💯
❤❤❤❤❤
Steve!! 😇🎚🙌🙏🏽❤🔥
Very pretty tunes and sensitive & versatile performance, Michael. It’s been quite a while since I heard you 🙏The spirit is still genuine.
Nice thanks
This man's music is nothing short of incredible. His soul is infused with kindness and understanding.
I really like your store you might remember me I purchased a Mortal Kombat X Blood ties comic and enjoyed it Do u sell pokemon at the right price my older brother says it's expensive I want to prove him wrong For example Pokemon breaks cost about 0.50
weird this just came up in my feed ... time machine here ...

There is a new DVD release using some of this footage, by S.C. Boswell called "Expatriots from reality" the Jim Jacobi story" Dispite the Liable by the canine (can't use his own name) on this page the DVD is out...And Hey you can't be fired if you are not hired---produce a contract --but that's the method of a total narcissist. .Oh well...
I am very happy to have stumbled across "Lost In Omaha" & Michael Murphy's amazing music!
Thanks SusiKay
Your music is notably amazing!
Michael Murphy is such an incredible artist and person!
Happy I discovered LOST IN OMAHA; Michael Murphy's music touches everyone's hearts, the American Indian gentle flute tunes connect us all. :-)
Thank you Rayka
Very nice, Michael. Paul
Thanks Cally, it has been awhile, I hope maybe you can come to the UCHA tonight. It would be good to see you. Thanks again.
Beautiful renditions and so talented. Wouldn't expect anything less from Michael.
www.ihatemusic.org Article about the beginning of Crap Detectors by Roger Mah of Rhino records.
The 1st comment on this page is fraudulent. In Omaha I asked other members of bands to do 12 already recorded and released detector songs. Asked for about 4 shows per year.NO one was fired.
I noticed the positions changed for comments, but the Dog comment (example of cyber bullying) was the fraudulent comment.
Gavin Blair---From True West The good 'ole Drumstick we played a bunch of times. Never did play Omaha, although we did drive through enough times. This is a great piece.
Angel Settell, Lincoln, NE. That is great, Jim!
Bob Jordan --Seattle, WA. Hi Jim, I watched the documentary. Very cool! Also checked out a few more of your own videos on TH-cam while I was at it.
Dave Robel hey Jim..........you forgot to tell that guy that you invented the "pogo" by jumping up and down on the Minute Men light controller back in 1965.........!! .....bass players......drop the b in bass and you get ass!
Brad Krieger: great video! I am proud to be mentioned as one of the original crap detectors....(1979 Set Program)
• Craig Kingery Jim, If you want to do a crap detector project, I'll make myself available. Sounds fun.(Bassist 1980-85 and 1999-2004)
Hey, I just got fired on TH-cam, and my brother helped ambush me. Hell, how damn many people can say that? Bass players and drummers, if you want to work with someone that won't even have the respect to fire you face to face, by all means sign on with jacobi. All class......all class.
Thank you Bonnie,
Talent, wisdom, and excellence! His music comes from deep down inside his soul, and it shows.
R.I.P. Steve Erlewine.
I think that you might have me confused with Michael Martin Murphey, I know him, love his music, but I too would love to come to Springfield, Email me at; murphy_music@yahoo.com
I loved the video and the music of 37 Years. I lived in Omaha for about 20 years and presently live in Columbus, OH. Omaha always has a special place in my heart. A little over a year ago, Omaha lost one of their original musicians to cancer, Dave Barger. Like your intro stated, Omaha rates right up there with New York and LA when it comes to some of the best musicians in this country. Thanks for the video!
Come back to Springfield Mo. We miss the Christmas show tradition.
I've heard Michael Murphy many times. He is one of the best musicians and people in Omaha.
Hey bro your song which I liked it very much minus horses running and sounding crickets.
Great job, Ricki!
Ricki's email address was listed incorrectly on the current episode. Ricki can be reached at "ricki.duffy@gmail.com". What a difference one dot can make! Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for watching.
