I love flares, why well, tye flares are REALLY good to find ores in biomes, like the red light have a difference between the walls of a cave and a ore, so it makes so much easy to find any ores in a cave especially in early game

The Air Bladder is a must for early game, it can even help you escape those nasty exploding fishes, and you can stop the ascension by pressing the button again, so no need to go all the way up after they explode; just remember the compressed air tank remains partially used, so it might not be enough to pull you up from 200m deep until you re-serface for it to refill.

The air bladder is good bit useless after you get the seamoth because you just get in that for O2

Your very first point, early game prior to deaglide and youre in too deep. Thats no a positive for the bladder its a con on your play style. You know you can carry an extra tank as well... Getting lost in a cave... dont bother with your path finder make air tubes like a guide rope... Sorry not even concerned with your othe points given how lame your initial points are...

Flares are objectively better than the flashlight until you get your hands on a base with stable power supply and battery chargers. Just throw it and pick it back up, and you've got a flashlight with 360° illumination Also, using Waterproof lockers with wrecks like that absolutely GENIUS! I can't believe I never thought of that!

The Air bladder has always been something I’ve used in my play throughs. It propels you up almost 200 meters in a matter of seconds. Never understood why people thought it was so useless.

it would have been cool to see the pillars lead to larger cavern system beneath the surface, acting like the brine in the lost river, just instead being an entire biome mainly traversed in a prawn suit, just thinking of what kinda of creatures or even leviathans could exist down there is exiting, but hey if call of the void is as good as the original and they learned from below zero maybe we'll get more insane biomes.

The only useful item is pathfinder since you can use it for special underwater entrances that is the only existing spoilers for the game

I made 3 floating storage units before learning how to build bases. Now they hang out in the water aimlessly and without any item inside

You can use the flare as a torch when in the prawn suit with a grapple hook arm and when going down to the lost river you can use it to see in the dark blood kelp zone

Not really a "tool", but you can use those stupid black carryalls from the Aurora's crew cabins to stash any items you need to come back for, same as you're suggesting we utilize waterproof lockers at wreck sites. Just plop one down near an entrance and stuff it full of posters or whatever, so that you can grab its contents easily on a second foray to the ship: no need to deal with respawned fires or whatever.

THEORY: Heres my head theory for this story, we're going to be continuing our journey from the original subnautica, for two main reasons, 1. We were given access to storage in our rocket, which was really strange because It was completely pointless as that would be the end of the game, nowhere else to head This would be a good point to continue off, If we decided to land on our new planet, Sinve we'll be able to bring items from subnautica to subnautica 2 (some items missing to show off that we've lost some of them over time) 2. This also ties in with my second reason, subnautica's ending made it clear that we weren't able to land home as we needed to pay our debt, And of course we're not able to pay so we're kind of stuck floating around, So with that it would give us reason to look for a new place, a new planet, since our character was already able to live out his life in a dangerous world, there's no doubt he could do it again, somewhere more peaceful, that we can actually choose we would eventually reach obraxis prime maybe due to us desperately needing resources, We would step out to gather some materials and food And when we decide to go back to the rocket, there will be people and even something that is not so human also, they could be ransacking the rocket while ripping it apart for materials, leaving it beyond repair, now forcing you into a situation where you need to stay and try to survive The reason why I could think that there could be some people here is that It was never stated that the massacre ever ended, it could also lead to situations where some people could join the massacre, inevitably creating a kind of war, and the idea where aliens could also join in on this massacre, an amazing way to even do a crossover or reference between their other game natural selection From there it could also just lead to you either joining into the massacre or try your best not to hurt anyone All while trying to find out how to survive against predators and hunters while focusing on leaving the planet I also came across something that Might be able to tie some things together from subnautica below zero, what I mean by this is early access and even full release, The way I view this, is in the early access and full release. I believe to a certain extent they are actually connected, though of course not by every little detail Yes there are many inconsistencies but I do see how these would be connected as it would also make such a good narrative, as It could tie in both subnautica games while also including their other game natural selection. as It could tie all three games together what I mean by this is that in the early access with the frozen Leviathan, Robin ends up getting her hands on the kharra virus and send it to Sam before it eventually ends up going to alterra, after some time we presumably head back home with Sam and eventually Sam gets called back out which leads us to the full release where we need a head back to the planet to find her Why I mention the Frozen Leviathan is actually really important, since we took the kharra virus from one planet with presumably the only cure on the planet, and with alterra being altera, I could see them using that sample as a kind of weapon, If they suspect a planet of war or rebellion that could harm or effect them, they can send a sample of kharra into the ocean, contaminating it and being able to put the entire planet on Doomsday. with how many people work with altera, It's not too far fetched to say they can easily have many ships around a planet keeping anyone from leaving or alterra can even attempt to recreate the architect weapon aka the ultimate gun/weapon And you might be wondering why I am even mentioning this, now comes to subnautica 3, because if my theory is correct about this being a planet of mainly war and genocide, maybe alterra finally notices that the rebellious side is actually winning. They might Believe that once they're victorious they'll try to go for alterra so as a precautionary measure they send down the kharra in order to kill the planet at everyone else on it Well yes I do understand this does sound pretty far-fetched but it doesn't seem too out of character for people like alterra as they own like 95% of the entire galaxy or something like that, and voice lines from subnautica below zero, they tell us that alterra has some pretty god awful people who both worth and in charge of the company. so I don't believe it's too far off to say that it's out of character for them I do hope you guys enjoy my theory, And sorry about this feels so out of place

Air Bladder has saved my butt ZILLIONS of times, no lie.

Also the replenish oxygen feature isn't useless but it's way more useful if you use it to get to surface. I've said this because a lot of people complain that it's useless only to only use it for oxygen

I like the little bits of humor the devs put in this game...the coffee machine pouring the coffee first,..Then.. releasing the cup used to actually happen in early coffee machines.

Good Video 👍😎 I noticed some of these when I was starting.. couldn't make the build tool,so made a bunch of the containers and had plenty of stuff for later.. The bladder is always on my hot keys..its an early game must...(i did use the 15 secs of air once trying to leave a wreck, barely made it).😅 The Pathfinder is awkward...it shoots too far and i still can't figure the arrows, but its still my go-too tool in bad caves and the big wrecks...i also drop flares.. sometimes they will move under the map though..same with the Beacon...set on land or touching anything else and they stay under the map. The propulsion cannon is GREAT...you said why😅 Happy Birthday !🎉 (mine was a few days ago .)

I always use the air bladder to replenish oxygen. I keep forgetting that it won't kill me like it would irl if I use it to go back to the surface too quickly

The flares get more usefulness in BZ, to scare away snow stalkers

I feel like the waterproof locker is just universally used early game lol. Once you get a base there is no reason to have them. I do gotta day though the pathfinder saved me a lot in my recent below zero run. The murcury is easy to get lost in. Air bladder is so good early game, if you are too far down just fly up, if you are in a cave and wanna delay the inevitable? Replenish ur o2 with it.

I use flares in the early game for the light: Throw it, and once its lit, pick it up, and even at night you will have a "torch"!
