This last area was ROUGH. So solemn. I loved it and I feel its meaning was lost on ALOT of people. Anyone whos had to deal with loss in life (most of us - especially as you get older...) this zone hits like a truck. My Nan passed during COVID (unrelated) but it was sudden and I didnt get to say goodbye. The fact that Namika was the first you say goodbye to had me in tears.

1:40 This is EXACTLY how I reacted when I reached this point in the MSQ... I panicked about losing my cool hangout spot and screenshot opportunities. But after searching enough on TH-cam comments, I found out that you can restore the original appearance by toggling any prior chapter of New Game+ while in the area. Just waiting for Dawntrail New Game+ so I can have the fountain back on :)

Side quests in this zone are quite good as well. You should try if you have time.

Well it's not like you have to do it three more times or--oh wait... Honestly though, I felt like it was intended to hammer in this theme scattered throughout the expansion story of the importance of letting go of the past. As someone who I suppose has gone through something similar in life, what helped for me was always asking "now what?" and to keep trying to move forward. For that part of the story though, it was definitely the third tower I was most hesitant with since I did want to know more about the original lalas.

The "life support" analogy was spot on. That's what Living Memory was, and even if it didn't hit you hard, there were people around you that you know for them it was agony. Krile having to say goodbye to the parents she probably always wondered about, but only got to know for the briefest of moments, and Erenville having to say goodbye to his mom, promising he'd see the world she never got a chance to see. It didn't have to be my grief, I was just sad for my friends. Dawntrail wasn't my favorite expansion, but I took some lovely memories from it. Living Memory was a big one.

When she was reacting to this character, she nearly did that one clip where she holds her hands up like claws and chomps.😂

First! Also nice to see practicing both the fancy announcer voice and whatever that southern American accent was.

this scene hit me hard, his mom was my favorite character introduced in this expansion.
