left bundle bundle branch block (LBBB) | ECG findings, clinical significance, 4 ECG examples
Do you that left bundle branch block (LBBB) is clinically more important than RBBB? thereby it is critical to learn how to identify left bundle branch block (LBBB) on surface electrocardiogram.
Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is a type of conduction system abnormality seen on the electrocardiogram (ECG). In this condition, depolarization of the left ventricle of the heart is abnormally delayed, which causes the left ventricle to contract later than the right ventricle.
It is unusual for left bundle branch block (LBBB) to exist in normal heart. So far, a wide range of causes have been detected for left bundle branch block including hypertension, heart failure, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease and so on.
in the present video, we thoroughly elaborate on electrocardiographic criteria and real ECG examples of left bundle branch block (LBBB).
