Keep in mind that some of the "free" games on Steam aren't games. They're DLCs for games that already exist. Oh also, fair warning. Phantasy Star Online 2 is an MMO that uses a spyware-based anti-cheat run by a company that is willing to sell your data. If you're not planning to play it long-term, I'd avoid it entirely. It's also extremely data-heavy (100+ GB), and uninstalling the game, doesn't uninstall the anti-cheat, which then continues to spy on you. This anti-cheat was only added to the game a couple months ago.

The boss is A-chan, the girl you see when in the shop menu. Fun little detail; in stage 2, before she appears as the boss, you can see her sleeping at one of the desks.

Fun fact: The main Developer of the game Kay-Yu did not added his name in credit. (just because he does not want to stand out)

Also, you can skip boxes opening animation if you press the button again. Also also, I didn't mention it the first time cause I though you'd figure it out, but you keep doing it 😅 You don't need to hold the mouse button to switch aiming mode, it remembers it. You keep missing attacks because of this, especially when retreating/backing up since you face the other way

If you're still wondering how to unlock new weapons and items, check out the achievement section in the main menu. It'll tell you how to unlock said achievement and get new weapon/new item/coins as the reward.

Congrats on beating the game with Moona, highly recommend checking on her music as well if you're interested. High Tide is one of those song i can recommend to you. Also, golden anvil only spawn when you have 2 *specific* weapons at max (level 7) to make a collab. Now how do you do that? Some of this collab you can kinda guess (like, lightstick + fan beam kinda make sense, right?) but a lot of them doesn't really make sense if you don't know the context behind it, which is where knowing the references helps guessing a bit. Yes i say a bit, because some of them is just that strange. As a fan for almost 1 year at the time i'm playing this game, i don't know much of these references myself and mostly just go to the wikipedia for information lol. Now you can always brute force this by trying every different weapons combination and see if golden anvil will spawn if you max them out or see more info in the Holocure wiki. 36:33 Gold anvils appear when a collab is available. You can click the tall blue rectangle on the right on the level up screen to see a reminder of the ones you’ve already made. Making a collab frees up a weapon slot and making a super collab frees up an item slot, so it can be a good idea to check if you’ll be able to make a collab when using up your last slot. Collabs that involve items _(SuperCollabs)_ require a gold hammer, which appears only once per run once you reach level 50 or have 3 collabs if a SuperCollab is available. The SuperCollabs are: Glowstick + WamyWater, plus Sake. Glowstick + Idol Song, plus Idol Costume. Plug Asacoco + Fan Beam, plus Monkey Paw. Lava + Cooking, plus Uber sheep. Looking at a chart in the Steam guides, each weapon has two or three collabs.

For visual clarity you can reduce the opacity of your attacks in the settings. Mine is around 60%, it helps a lot once you get multiple collabs

The super idol costume gives you a second activation on your special before it goes on cooldown. If it happens without the item then you probably picked up some blue stars you can find in boxes, which reduce cooldown.

there's quite the surprising amount of depth in this game! it starts you out slow, but eventually you start unlocking things like: Specials: A special ability unique to each character that charges up. Collabs: Combining two weapons together to create a new powerful effect, and combine them in your weapon slot to make room for even more weapons.) Super Collabs: Combining a collab weapon with an item to create an even more powerful effect. Stamps: A separate upgrade system to each character's starting weapon. etc. i do think the strength and addictiveness of the game's core gameplay loop completely separate from its existence as a fan-game is what's really made it so popular. glad you enjoyed it!

Tye rabbit hooe goes very deep with this game. Yes, there are synergies: two layers of synergies. There's also the special attack, whic you haven't gotten yet.. AND there's a whole other game: HoloHouse, where you can go fishing, raise crops, decorate you apartment, and more. The amount of content is insane. I've got over 200 hours in the game so far. And, there is more still to come (the dev recently dropped some hints about the update).

Also, the resolution can be changed with arrow keys. Just a heads up as it can go for much higher resolutions. Also, each vtuber has 3 skills, which are separate from your items and weapons. They also have other stuff you can find in the shop. Not sure if you have found it yet.

Hololive pretty much consider this game free advertisement.

My favorite Survivors-like game. For 2 reasons: 1. Enemies. Most games of this sub genre making swarms as threat. They surround you and beat by numbers. In HC most enemies coming in waves. And since second stage every wave is puzzle. Reminds Undertale a little (in the end of stage 2 hard game doing Sans final attack). 2. Characters. 30+ characters, every one of them have unique weapon, 3 skills and special attack. Thanks to that every character has her own build. And dev aiming to add all 80+ characters

I love seeing people get slowly drawn into our little rabbit hole, and HoloCure and other Hololive fangames are great infection vectors. Every item and enemy is a reference, either to character lore or to events that actually happened on streams. Those of us who are in deep see the items and chuckle at the memory.

I never expected this little Hololive Vampire Survivors fan game to get as big as it is when it first came out. Somehow when it was released on Steam, people who knew nothing about vtubers were exposed to it, and found it to be a solid entry of the genre - making it quite popular. If you're interested, the dev also made another fan game, HoloxBreak: a side scrolling beat 'em up featuring characters that will not be in Holocure for some time. And if you have any questions about any of the references in the game, I will likely have answers. P.S. The title and stage 1 themes are chiptune remixes of Super Smily Story (pretty much the theme song of Hololive) and Suspect, respectively. The "chest song," Ochame Kinou, is not a Hololive original, but years ago the members did a cover of it as an introduction to them all (the roster has expanded a bit since then however).

hololive is a Japanese company that hire people to become vtuber. This fan game originally started as a fun project where the dev want to make a vampire survivor parody. Later the game blow up when one of the hololive member play it on stream, the next update should be coming in this October. Everything in the game from the items to the music is a reference to something in hololive ,the golden man you see during the game is the CEO of hololive .

Brains are weird eh? I was swimming this afternoon and had the thought “what if I forgot how to swim?” As I was in a 35m deep quarry (it’s mainly a scuba centre but they let some people swim too) I was bricking it for the last half of my swim, when… I’m just not gonna forget how to swim, right??

Where did that map top right come from? Feel daft for saying I would struggle remembering where things are now! I watched the very first (uk) ep of The Traitors and hated everyone so didn’t go back. May give it another chance as you’re not the first to say it’s really good…

I guess mindfulness has to be a difficult thing to get across to people. My feeling is that we’ve become a “thought” society rather than a “felt” one (I’m making a huge generalisation focussed on western, white society here). As you put so well we need to be in the moment to be able to acknowledge, enjoy, assuage or cope with what we feel and are capable of or need right now. I’d planned to swim today, because it usually really helps my mental and physical health, but in the moment I want to do something more creative (bit of sketching) and don’t have the energy for swimming rn so am doing sketching. I think sometimes I get hung up on “I’ve planned it so I have to do it” and today I’m too knackered, forcing myself would be counterproductive. Takes a fine judgement to know when it’s genuine tiredness and not depressive lack of motivation though, which is where felt mindfulness helps. My opinion is that’s partly why CBT is so popular, it’s good with “knowns”, not so good with “somethings wrong, I don’t know what’s”, so gives primacy to thoughts over feelings.
