I’ve got an Ab2 through C6 Contralto range. I definitely agree with her that the bottom range notes for contraltos are usually lower than the “labeled” F3 bottom note.

Love the video. Thanks for all the work you put into them. I’m wondering if there’s a series or something you could do to keep your vocal cords from getting injured into old age. Does that make sense? Like maybe some exercises that help keep the cords healthy even as you age!!! I’m 23 but still scared 20 years from now as to where my voice could be. I don’t want it to be weak, break easier or feel tight, so I’ll plan on doing exercises for as long as possible but I’m just wondering if there are any prevention tips too lol! ❤

Thankyou soo much for making these dumb heads on the internet realize that it's not as easy as it looks to sing live with a whole audience in front of u. It's the difficulty of singing the song, the having to move around and dance to entertain the people, and the little bit of nervousness that every live performer has. So, even though it might not sound as good as the recorded version, I think she did a very good job!! Especially espresso, the trickiest song to sing according to you, she did great. The notes were on point, the airiness was still present. I'm very proud of her❤

Never been a fan of any Singer until I heard Diana Ankudinova. For me she's the most pleasant sounding, and emotionally moving Singer I've ever heard. There's something about her tone and voice that I've never heard anyone even come close too. She really touches your Heart & Soul! She is a Dramatic Contralto, sings in many languages and styles, and is a one-of-a-kind gift to the Planet!

I heard a live version and she didn’t sound that good as the record. It was a video comparing her and Kelly. Kelly did it way better. You can’t understand Roan and she seemed out of breath at times. And I get it everyone has off days but that’s why vocal lessons come in handy

I saw Des'ree classified as a contralto. She has a gentler sounding voice than Amy Winehouse. My voice is comfortable singing along with her low notes & style. My range is comfortable between C3 to B4. My previous upper range is wiped out with aging (was previously classified as a mezzo). Do you think Des'ree is an alto or a contralto? She's a way better singer than me but the closest I could find to comfortable range & timbre of my voice.
