I seem to like both. The fretboard markers a nice addition, the guitar body is smaller so you can actually see the front of the neck as opposed to a traditional acoustic where it's much larger bodied so wouldn't see the front and only the side of it. The rosette looks great on both, the RE finish also has a more refined and rich contrast grain on the entire guitar. Both are great in their own way. I would go for the RE.

Of all my (more expensive) guitars, the LX1 is the one I pick up day in and day out. Although not a gorgeous handmade instrument, but is perfect in size, has a nicely playable fretboard (and neck profile), good sound and intonation, and is bulletproof in construction. Apart from the garbage "setup" as delivered, I recommend it highly.

Nearly identical. A few bucks more gets you a pickguard, fret markers on the face of fretboard, and an etched sound-hole rosette.

For those who don't want to watch useless garbage content, the differences are purely visual. LX1RE has a pickguard and a laser etched pattern around the soundhole. LX1E has a striped pattern and no pickguard.

I owned one and they are really great sounding guitar my first one which I bought few years ago was the Ed Sheeran X series I really loved both my little Martin guitars. Highly recommended.

The black you see there is actually just powder inside of that patch reacting to the moisture of your foot, not toxins. Unfortunately this doesn’t really work 😭
