I wonder how insane of a driver you’d need the more stock the Honda is- I’m pretty sure that in theory, if you had a monster of a driver, you could do the seemingly impossible with a near-stock Honda if you just build up speed lap after lap to then slingshot past the R35
The weight plays a huge part in this race. The light civic can catch up a good 1-2 seconds on the hairpin. Tight cornering speed is also a big one. The lump the gtr is compared to the civic just can't compete with the Honda.

In my opinion gtr is 100% stock the civic is 100% tuned and also the driver has removed everything to be lighter, so imagine that he made that car for ONLY ONE seat and the gtr is 4 SEATER, look what the civic boy did to show us that gtr is slower and can even lose to civics and don't forget that gtr is the HEAVIEST and only 4 SEATER SUPERCAR, THIS civic would weight even less that a smart car the gtr weighs 1,700kgs so don't say that IT WAS SMOKED
