Notes From Another Room

A crumbling, decades old schoolhouse...a stately, expansive auditorium...these are just a few of the places that piano technician Bruce Dalzell's job takes him. Giving these noble instruments the tender loving care they deserve is a not a silent affair, and the rich, varied sounds of Bruce's work transforms these spaces. Through banging keys, turning wrenches, and plucking strings, you just may...

This was an exercise in which we got to use the Arriflex-S for the first time. I shot on Kodak 16mm reversal film with no sound, and it was a blast. Big thanks to the wonderful Andrew Boylan and Louesa Akin! Another big thanks to Wenting Deng and David Gaddis, my steadfast...

Documentary Short: "This Is Kevin"
มุมมอง 71813 ปีที่แล้ว
"This Is Kevin" is a documentary short that I made along with my class partners Meredith Bell and Angie Simmons. It chronicles the story of Kevin, who's in many ways quite the average guy, and not quite the average guy. His story is one that is human, and we are forever thankful to him and his family for opening up to our lenses and telling his story. Produced by - Meredith Bell Angie Simmons a...

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark: The Haunted House
มุมมอง 230K14 ปีที่แล้ว
Thanks for watching everyone. We are approaching 100k views! This is an audio project that my friend and I did for our Radio Production Class. I adapted a story called "The Haunted House" from Alvin Schwartz' "Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark." I loved these books as a kid, and the assignment was to do a story for children so it was a natural choice. Big thanks to Derek who did some awesome na...
I submitted an audition
Cory, did you ever do a second video with John?? He was our superhero!
I sadly did not Robbie, but he was the absolute sweetest and I am glad his friends can enjoy this little moment in time with him
Thanks for doing this, Cory! John was something else, unique, had his hand in a lot of things... he's one of a kind, and he touched a lot of lives. People miss him, I'm sure.
SO HE IS A MAN WITH A WOMAN'S EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS
i wish i could show this guy VEVE, he was so right about digital comics. as a comic collector i absolutely love it
He is a likeable guy.
SHOW OF ENJOYMENT NOT ALWAYS SEEN TODAY THANKS.
This had me scared for dear life when I was little…
John was a great guy! I miss going to this shop in the 90's
Awesome video! I miss John Stone. Rest in Peace John!
great video it made me sad cause curt wasn't understood and by looks of it was very lonely
That doesn't look like a comic shop it looks like a home depot 😂😂
John was great guy. Rest in Peace
JUST HE WILL MEET JACK STAN,AND ALL THE GREAT OF COMICS.
What a cool guy
Scared me all my life still does today
The picture of the lady skull
At least the ghost took a good break! Hope she gets fleshed out in the upcoming movie tho
It's interesting how he seems so unsure about the future of printed paper comics, considering that nowadays physical sales have actually increased parallel to the rise of digital comics.
Bravo! It made me feel very sad.
Damn, I miss that man. Thank you for the memory.
He dead?
@@lotto5742 sadly yes, he had cancer but died peacefully thank goodness. He was truly one of the great men to have ever lived.
@@justmebeingme8370 it seems that cancer get the best ones. Im glad to hear that he did not suffer and passed peacefully
Whats a theme for this
1:50 wtf lmao
Is that Bristol Connecticut?
James Kirk it's actually Bristol, Tennessee!
Where’s issue #2? :(
Great video. Me and my family are from Bristol, Kingsport, and Johnson city area...still have some family there.
Yup, with everything going online, somebody flips a switch and all your stuff is gone. I'll always prefer physical products, if it's just downloaded code, is it really yours?
*"Download" ??* Ya don't need to Up/download anything! It's Not 2006 anymore.. *There ALL FREE ONLINE.* Just Google "Read Silver Surfer #2 vol.3" or "Read Action Comics #890" or Read "FILL IN THE BLANK" *Etc.* If 1 website doesn't have it, like Manganew or ReadOnline will. Another back-Up is always TH-cam if ya want it in video format, have it explained or something to ya. Or if your to lazy to scroll I guess.. Now, *HOW THESE 3RD PARTY WEBSITES GET AWAY W/ GIANT LIBRARY CATALOGS ?? I HAVE NO IDEA.* But they do.
@5 Fold Understanding . The OPs point is still valid, you don't own anything and it could disappear overnight.
Very good video!
nice guy
Thank You so much!
I just pooped my diaper!
Man, now I actually feel bad for the woman whose face terrified me for the better part of my first 10 years of life.
Great job. I'm 42, been buying comics since the day I saw Web Of Spider-man #1 in the Broadway Market newsstand in Buffalo, NY after church in 1985. I bought it and I was hooked. Now, you can't buy comics at a newsstand anymore and little Mom and Pop comic shops are going away too. Sad to see everything go online.
I saw a short film based on this!
scary
Well done documentary! I like watching all these videos about comic store owners, really get me hyped to dive into the comics world again even though my wallet says no :)
hey Cory! I watch your documentary! That is great! We will talk about it in film department more!
good vid
I came by there the day you guys was filming.I thought I would see myself on here but I guess I didn't make the cut. I love this store,I hope it's stays around for years to come.
Hello Is there any chance to have the transcription for my English Class... this story is very good.
if you think about it, it kinda sucks how nowadays these books are banned from schools, i remember reading these always back in 5th grade,
Lyle Lanley im watching this in 6th grade at school
Looking at the fucked up art
This was good!
Holy shit spooky stuff!!
Where the hell is issue 2?
do u have permission to use these books to make this crap u make from Alvin Schwartz? Or should I email him and let him know......
there is a difference between taking urban legends and retelling them in your own words...and stealing someones exact words and pictures from their own copyrighted book
hazey07 AJ you can make all the excuses u want it is still copyright infringement.... Cory Pratt or whoever made this should have taken those urban legends the book was based on and made his own version of those urban legends and not used the book at all ....using the book in any way shape or form even if every single sentence isnt word for word is still not only disrespectful but ILLGEGAL. goodbye
I used to scare myself silly reading these as a kid at night. Respect
i will be visiting this place tomorrow for the last time before i move :(
Team Aura: TheReviewsprime Been since?
Shit i use to be afraid of the cover of that book lol
Aw the ending was cute
awsome story.....
Love it!
Sometimes I just say fuck sleep who need that anyway
