2024 Polaris Snowcheck time!
มุมมอง 779ปีที่แล้ว
Are you questioning what Polaris mountain sled to snowcheck for next year? Boost? 9R? 850? Khaos? Pro RMK? 155"? 165" 2.75"? 3.25"? so many options!!!!! It all depends what kind of riding YOU do, what kind of snow you ride, what kind of terrain you ride, how small/tall/strong you are, what ability level you are, etc etc. If you have questions to help you decide what sled is best for you to orde...

How to get good at riding tree's...
มุมมอง 1.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
People ask me all the time "how do I get good at riding trees". Here is a perfect example how... Kara is at a point in her sled life that she is ready to start pushing it in the trees and when you start to ride trees you just have to see your line, stick with it and try...try 10x and get stuck lots. Then all of a sudden you'll find yourself pulling much more cool lines than getting stuck in a d...

    I know it’s been awhile. May I ask what made you switch from the tundra to the mega cab? I’m thinking now of buying a tundra. However maybe I should be looking at a heavy duty instead.

    • @sheshredsmountains
      @sheshredsmountains ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dakota! The main reason was the illegal payload I had on the Tundra. 2 sleds, a deck and gear/gas was over payload capacity. The tow load was fine, the the payload was over. I also needed more tow load capacity because I was starting to haul horses and didnt trust the braking system on a tundra for that. The engine break is much more efficient on a one ton.

    Great video lol. I just bought the agressor 2.0 for this upcoming season. Do you find the agressor top a little snug through the armpit area? Fits great and plenty of flexibility. Not too tight Not too loose. Just seems to bunch up a little in the pit area. Not sure if I should size up. Afraid if I do it'll be too baggy elsewhere.

      Yes there will be a sidehill tutorial. This will be launched later in the season. Each tip is launched in a specific order based on a beginner rider up to follow the proper skills steps to get to sidehilling. Sidehilling is more of an advanced skill therefore will be launched later in the season. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • @matwalker6336
    @matwalker6336 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    FWIW I weigh no more than you do. Do NOT dig with your hands. It is very very inefficient use of energy as well has an extreme propensity to get your gloves wet. Let us also remind ourselves that digging yourself out of a whole is an oxymoron. Leverage must be used when you weigh less than the the object you are trying to move. Thus I would use the fact the sled is leaning to the right to my advantage. Relieve running board and side panel on right side so the sled has somewhere to lean into. Using your foot is generally the least energy. Dont sweep it. Pack it down. Wont take much 4-8 inches of space in this case. Stand on right side hold handle bars and mountain bar and throw your weight back up hill. The sled will come some and even if it is only some 2-4 inches that is enough. You are trying to lean the sled up hill. The sled will now have a pressure on the right side of the track and be in the air on the left side. NO you can not see it because it is down there two feet but think about it. Proceed to the down hill side moving as little snow as possible until you can feel the track with your foot.... now stomp snow into that air space. The first few times you will have to shovel down to see what is happening but later you shovel very little. Reach up there to the handle bars and pull the sled to the left now like you did before pulling it up hill. Feet on running board hands on handle bars and throw your weight back. The sled will lever out of there now remarkably easy because there is no resistance on the left running board or side panel and there is a ridge of hard snow under the left side of the track. Ironically dont pull it too far just about 20 ? degrees off center. Now the sled sits on the left edge and there is an air space under the right side of the track. Go over there and boot it in. Go up front between the skis and stuff the snow down under the sled with your foot. The sled track should be sitting on packed snow from front to back now. Do both sides twice and now there is packed snow sitting under the track. The running boards are clear both sides and the sled is up at least 8 inches from where it was before. Because of the insane paddle on these sleds now you can use the motor. Gentle I mean very gently drive the sled forward and back by letting the clutches engage and then let up on the gas. This further packs the snow under the track. Spin out and you are stuck again. The clutching on these sleds is different than anything made before. They engage low and push instead of accelerate like hell so this is easier now that it has ever been. Once there is snow under the track the sled will drive out now matter what it looks like. You might have to stand next to it and pin it and then just let it go by or as I do, to take the time to move the sled forward and back at least 5-9 times to get some movement. If these sleds will move forward one foot they are not stuck. I never lifted once. Never pulled on anything. OK maybe the handle bars Used the biggest muscles on the body.. the legs and did very little digging. I ride all over BC . Always looking for more partners. LookMomNOHands Doo talk
