Great to see a good dozer operator picking up scrapers with out jerking scraper operator neck
At Port Macquarie i remember the day you were standing on the batter beside the rd filming
I know who that is
Man those Scrapers are flat moving.
proper job
Now this fella knows how to pussh a scraper
It's funny when a scraper is scared to move without a dozer pushing it.
It,s funny you make that comment clearly not understanding how things work
651 one engine,needs help,from a dozer. 657 two engines,AWD,no help needed.
And twice the operating cost for the 657 over the 651
Cat d10l 1985
No such machine as a D10L
Is this earthpro’s 660’s that were at roachdale?
Sure was
@@Gavin84w haha awesome. I drove them for about a year back around 2010. They were. Cool old machine.

Hello my friend, so long u dont upload a video?
Maybe it's different where ever this was, but we always lined up in front of the push cat, just say'n
If we would have made the push cat chase us so much, we would have been walking back to our car right now
Great job buddy
Mufflers are under the hood! The D11N's 3508 has got this beat! th-cam.com/video/nC_4jKcxI2I/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/zbQ9GlQzay4/w-d-xo.html
Yep, got it beat in cost to overhaul & fuel burn just to name a couple of items that make the C32 more cost effective than the 3508
@@Gavin84w Yea that makes allot of sense, four more pistons. sleeves, bearings and heads to rebuild and replace and four more cylinders burning fuel.
@@RomeKG471 they are a good 20 litres an hour better on fuel than a 3508
neh...
Now I see why you like mining so much! haha And you are complaining about what I do?
Is this some kind of foreplay?
real men use their hands...
Riiiiiiight.......
Trying moving all that dirt with a shovel and wheelbarrow then
Yeah that's the way us Aussie do it
Great video. Smooth operator. Could watch all day 👍
Super video. Nice sequence to get on camera 👍
That's how it's done!!!
Class act. Nice
Good old stuff!
He had some hard ground to rip! Is that from a quarry company because of the anti-gloss black paint?
Civil contractor, this is a highway bypass
The ultra diesel sound! Thx for the ride along video!
Biggest CAT machines of their range - amazing! Sad, you didn't put any more new videos on TH-cam.
If you notice closely the D10T is set up with GPS.
What is the Blue canister on the side of the radiator for?
Fire Suppression system
Red bull for the operator
Nice video you don't see many 651's anymore. What kind of job is this, kinda looks like a highway job. I wonder if Ausie contractors don't use Cushion dozer blades to save on cost. Whoever says that is sand is nuts. It also looks like they are using push-pull's to strip topsoil.
It is harder or regular blades to.push buggies but the cats more flexable in what it can do
Hey Gavin whereabouts was this? my father ran scrapers, r u around Sydney, hunter valley area or further south?
This site is at Rochedale on the outskirts of Brisbane, in a garbage tip.
Is that a highway project? Scrapers aren't used anymore for construction here in Ireland so always enjoyable to watch. Cool video 👍
Is that big earth-eater stuck, or did he kill the engine and couldn't restart? Was the dozer just given him a friendly push to "bump start?"
Cut to fill or Cut to spoil
I am a former heavy equipment operator I operated a cat d8r with a single Ripper never seen anyone or heard of anyone using the Ripper in sand that must have been some hard-ass sand or some lazy ass scraper pan operators where did those are operator doesn't know what he/she is doing
Doesn't anybody use side boards on scrapers anymore ? Turn a 651 (48 yard bowl ) into 50/51 yard bowl .
And increase your operating cost with reduced life on transmissions, diffs, final drives, engines and cushion hitches
@@Gavin84w some companies at least used to think that the tradeoff was worth it 🤔. Kewitt did at one point.
Left track on the push cat could use pumped up
Bigger issue is leaving the dozer in 2nd gear to load the scoop
Can't disagree there
Although watch when he goes into reverse the "slap" of the chain between the final and the rear idler....... could use some pumps of grease in the tension cylinder
d4d all grone up and on steriod,s
Perfect match
Austral Bricks pit pushed those 660s there with that D10 for Roy.
have those scrapers got two engines or are the rear wheels hydraulically driven?
One engine on the ones the cats pushing. There are twins goin past thru the vid. The back.wheels are just trailing wheels no.driveline or anything
There's not one operator there, running about half loaded, because they don't know how to load them scrapers painful to watch
half loaded hahaha, should have gone to spec savers
Haha you up him mate
PLEASE EXPLAIN MORE
What????
single d11 loads em pretty good actually, ive only ever seen double d10s load em
those guys got know idea how to work machines
And your reccomendations on how to would be????
Hi Gav, IMHO, D11 with C-Dozer would decrease cycle times. The D11T (Denny McCoy's 11-02); C-Dozer was manufactured by DYMAX in Wamego, KS...located opposite Cat Tools. DYMAX uses Cat components for easy replacement @ end of service life. www.mccoyandsons.com/gallery/ Have a good day! Stan
Know idea? LOLOLOLOL... OK
Hi, S. Rawson. I have done a bit of scraper pushing my own self and, yes, I would agree that a cushion push dozer would probably at least equal the cycle times in that narrow cut. That said though, I think I would back myself against a cushion push dozer to at least stay with it in a wider cut. When you can pick up a scraper with a semi-U blade dozer at full throttle in second gear and no bump, you might sorta be forgiven for thinking you are doing sumpin' right. I don't think too many scraper operators would really appreciate being hit with a cushion push dozer square on at full throttle in second gear. And if you doubt the claim that a semi-U blade can pick up a scraper at full throttle in second gear with no bump, maybe there is something left yet for you to learn. Azfer that Luke Davie-Jakobs comment above, PLEEEEEZ, Sir, come on DowNunda and show us how it OUGHT to be done? We breathlessly await the revelation of your 'heck-spurt-eez'. Hi, Gavin84W.
