@dalex60 Firstly, thank you for your comment. I always appreciate people taking time to really consider what they believe. I always think, when we die, those who have chosen to believe in the God of the Bible, will go to be with Him in heaven. Those who have chosen to reject Him, will be sent to hell, but will know that their decision was their own, made with thoughtful consideration. The saddest group will be those who have chosen not to make a decision at all, they will still be cast off into hell, but due to a lack of making a decision at all. The difficulty that we seem to face today, is we want proof to be delivered in a form that was not available to the time. How else, if you were an eye witness to one of Jesus’ miracles or resurrection, would you share that experience with others than by word of mouth or the written word? We choose today to deny the accounts of eyewitnesses and other extra biblical writings because it doesn’t fit with whatever view we choose to hold as truth. There is an interesting article that might be worth a read, if you are interested, from History www.history.com/news/was-jesus-real-historical-evidence. At the end of the day, the Bible tells us that all are blind to the truth of God “in darkness” unless He opens one’s eyes (2 Corinthians 4:3-6), so I cannot expect all to come to the same saving truth that I have, but, I can share, hope and pray. My mom told me about this one after she had heard it on the Christian radio. I was really touched by the lyrics as well. There are a challenging call, to live a life differently than how we might instinctively, just as the Bible challenges us to. I struggle with trying to forge my own path through life as well. I have ideas of what I would like this TH-cam journey to look like, for example, but I don't know if that's what the Lord wants for me out of it. I have to submit to where He wants me to go, no matter how strong my desire for something may be. Otherwise, I am working against God. What a foolish way to live, who can successfully work contrary to God and succeed? No one. Thank you for your comment and your transparency. It is always nice to know, even though it is safe to assume, that other people have similar struggles to your own. We are in this together, to the glory of God.
