Great seeing what the past history of aranui was like,

I did not know females played rugby back then ,

Lots memories around aranui I remember that little shop new world there and pizza hut bank and more good memories.

Aunty used to shop here when she lived down Pages Rd, great to see it again. Wish I had thought of this before the Supervalue on Ferry Rd. got bowled.

Those rides at the checkout!!!! Man this was so nostalgic, I remember the layout so well too.

I use to remember you boss, you where a youth group leader. I was a little shit back then lol. I loved aranui back then. Clip brings back memories.

Aranui is a suburb full of thugs,the only suburb in ChCh where you will find kids wearing gang colors trying to act staunch. Infact i witnessed 7 11-12yr olds beating up a guy who i could tell was a bit slow,there was even a young girl involved aswell

Wow..what a surprise to see this pop up on TH-cam. Kudos to the Rhodes for the movies and to you for uploading it. Without that we wouldn’t have these amazing memories. I would have started at Aranui primary same year as Peter Rhodes, I remember the family. Must see if I can source the book mentioned. Amazing to see..so many memories..

Speechless....I started Primer One at Aranui Primary in 1966, lived in Rowses Road (Shortland St end of) from 66 till 1978. Was the first kid enrolled at Portsmouth St Kindy, got My photo on the front page of the CH-CH Star newspaper for that honour, played Rugby League for Eastern Suburbs (Breezes Rd Clubrooms), went to Chisnallwood and later on to Aranui High. Even went to Cubs at the Breezes Rd Scout den, WOW This is really a blast from the past Jeremy, Speechless again, Thank you. Wow. I Knew every inch of Aranui, the good old days, Thank you once again...
