    Your journey is very interesting and inspiring. Something that is important to keep in mind regarding service dogs is that while many schools such as the one where I received my guide tend to use the word service to refer to dog trained in tasks such as item retrieval, open doors, pulling wheelchairs, reminding their handlers to take medication, responding to medical episodes etc. etc. under ADA law service dog is the legal term for a dog who has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks to mitigate a persons disability. So Guide Dog‘s are a type of service dog and therefore it would not be incorrect to say that a guide dog is a service dog. Also, it’s important to note that owner training is allowed under federal law and people have the right to choose to train their own dogs to become service dogs so long as as have the right temperament to do so and can perform a task that mitigate their disability.

    • @jrhelpfulhardware6955
      @jrhelpfulhardware6955 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very true, these are great points. Guide dogs are just one type of service dog. One of my best friends has a self trained service dog. She hired a local trainer to work with her, and he is an incredible dog. This approach takes a LOT of time and can also be very expensive. For a number of reasons I made the decision to apply to a couple of guide dog schools because this is the right fit for me. I'm so excited to go meet and train wiht my new Leader Dog next month, an dI can't wait to share that story wiht everyone.

    I just got my 5075E last week from UnitedAg. I shopped Kubota, New Holland, Mahindra and Deere. It was also my first new tractor purchase so I did a lot of research. I was all set to get a slightly used 4044M that had the 3rd function on the FEL when my son and wife talked me into getting a cab due to the heat. Not always South Texas hot, but I think the humidity makes up for it. Extremely glad I listened to them and got the cab! I looked at the New Holland Boomer 55 and it really had impressive turn radius, but no "sunroof" so it required leaning over to see the bucket when raised up high. I then test drove the 4066R and was blown away. It was friggin' awesome. Just as tight turn radius, excellent cab, and what I considered "auto-throttle" -- that was very impressive. More you demanded on the HST, it would increase the RPM by itself. The HST was smooth, too. The rear fender had 3 point control and you could nudge the tractor forward and backward, so 3 point hook up was a lot easier for one-man operations. Then I got the price and ouch. "R" means $$$. The other issue was the lack of a jump seat for the grandkids. I was influenced by my son and friends to "go big or go home" so I began looking at the 5057E and various color counterparts. The 5075E with premium cab is no "economy" model in my book. As you noted the Premium cab gives you a lot more than an air ride seat and jump seat. Push button 4 wheel drive, push button draft control (which you can reach through the side window that opens), and with UnitedAg they always get 3rd function on the front so 5 SCVs (3 in front, 2 in back) like yours. But the selling point for me was the cash price vs. financed price was only $500 difference so I kept the cash in savings and took the 0% financing. After working it this week, I do have some gripes. PowrReverser goes faster in reverse than forward. I really don't like it. Very difficult to get it into the "Park" position. I'd rather have a traditional parking brake. If it pops out of park, it will roll. Overall, I would have been better served work-wise with the 4000 turn radius and HST. But "hay" maybe we'll need two in the future.

    • @jrhelpfulhardware6955
      @jrhelpfulhardware6955 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great comments. The complaint about the faster in reverse is a common one, but once I got some seat time I don't even notice anymore as I feel very comfortable with the operation of this specific machine. The parking brake on the gear shift did take a little getting used to, but this is also second nature now, and I have the muscle memory for the motion to put it in and out of gear. Trust me, I was a little nervous about my purchase the first couple weeks, but now that I've had it for over 9 months I am very happy with this machine.

      Good question. It's hard to tell from how the building looks. This one was custom fabricated by a metal building company out of Huntsville, TX. It was custom made to fit the actual slab I had. The supplier for the universal wall/roof/trim pieces is Mueller Buildings. Mueller is a large manufacturer with locations all over, but there are a few other out there. You can start by searching to see if you have a Mueller location nearby, and they may be able to search by your address to see if the building came from them. Good luck.

Also the second seat, I may have to see if I can find a part number and order one, maybe jerry rig it. Thanks again for sharing, and some very handy info

    • @jrhelpfulhardware6955
      @jrhelpfulhardware6955 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm very happy to help. The LED bulbs are an easy upgrade you can do, and you should definitely look into the part number for the instructor seat. I've seen others who have done that upgrade prior to the premium cab being released. They would order the instructor seat from the 5075M and modify to fit in the 5075E. I'm not sure if the seat used in the 5075E Premium cab is the same as the one in the 5075M, or not, so take a look at part numbers for both before you order because it might make a difference in the amount of modifacations required. Good luck! I can't wait to hear what kind of work you do with yours.

    Just picked up a 2023 John Deere 5075E Deluxe Cab with 520m loader. I did a side by side comparison to a friends Kubota M4D-071 deluxe cab with la1154a loader. First off, the Deere was 2k cheaper from the local dealers in our area. 2. The Deere operating weight is about 1000lbs more than the Kubota without any added fluid or weights on either machine. 3. The Deere loader lifts 600lbs more than the Kubota according to manufacturer specs and you can feel this, if anything the Deere is too much loader for a green horn operator. 4. If you park both machines side by side and compare the rear differential, the Kubota looks like a tinker toy compared to the Deere. 5. On the front end of the Kubota you see the tie rods ready to catch a stump or rock where the Deere is protected behind a beefier front differential...the front guards on the Kubota are laughable. 6. No DPF regen on the Deere which cleans up under the hood. No more cluster of big/expensive exhaust components. The list goes on. Deere is a superior machine by far. I'm not a Deere fanboy, I have a kubota kx057 excavator which is superior to the Deere 60, but with tractors it's not even close. Working on a video with details.

    • @jrhelpfulhardware6955
      @jrhelpfulhardware6955 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well said. Then there are little things that can become bigger frustrations/expenses over time, such as the location of the toolbox. on the Kubota it is located below the loader mount, next to the steps, where it can be damaged if you get into thick undergrowth or deep mud. On the deere it is located near the top of the loader mount. Looking at the premium/deluxe cab on both, I feel the door opening/fender geometry on the Deere makes it easier to get in and out of the operator station. This is important to consider since this is a utility tractor, and you will probably be getting in out of the cab frequently, especially if you are doing many tasks by yourself. The Deere premium cab also comes standard with LED lights. Did you pick up any front or rear attachments when you got your tractor?

Zero percent interest, it’s already 15k more in one year if I bought one now. Premium free insurance as long as it’s financed, Kubota was 10k more and wayyyy more for insurance. Thanks for the video. I've narrowed my search to Kubota, JD, and Kioti in the 65-75 hp range. Did you order the tractor with the skid steer quick attach, or was it a dealer added option? And if you've got any experience test driving any of the other tractors- the feedback will be appreciated!

    • @jrhelpfulhardware6955
      @jrhelpfulhardware6955 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I ordered the tractor from my local dealer with the SQA on the front. I believe it had the JD style quick attach on it, so my dealer ordered the plate in from John Deere and swapped it before they delivered it to me. This is a must in my opinion. It gives so much versatility to the machine, will save money when buying other attachments, and the ease of operation is great. I did try the Kubota with the Deluxe cab. I felt that getting in out out f this cab is much easier than the Kubota. That is a nice machine, but I liked the controls on this more, it is going to hold its value better, and the monthly payments ended up being less on the John Deere.

      Good questions. The door hinges feel very solid. I'm happy with the quality of the weather stripping, there are no rattles even on rough ground, and it has done will in rain. The only issues I've had with JD doors have been the door latch, and this is in both the green and yellow machines, and all models. If you slam the door it can lock itself, so don't slam the door.

I’m gonna order the power reverser 12/12, premo cab, air seat, mfwd and a couple small add ons but I’ll still save over the 4r and have a better machine for what I do. I’m 6’ 5”, haven’t been in a 4r but I’ve been in a 3r cab (they’re the exact same, literally) and though I wasn’t squished in, the 5e was waaaayyyy more comfortable by far. So, pretty much the same reason you ended up with your 5E lol. The 4r lists features the 5E don’t have, but not by much and I added some stuff so the gap is close. I like the hydro gears of the 4r, but it heats up quick and I don’t know how that’ll be long term, but I DO know the 5E gears are bullet proof, I can pull much larger implements over the 4r, and lift a 1/3 more weight than it can. Like you I scoped out Kubota, massey, case ih and at the end of the day, the dealership/service eclipse those by a huge margin, the 5E was a bigger, better machine all the way around for me. I have owned Deere for years and I ain’t buying a machine, I’m buying support, but honestly would buy another color if it was beneficial or made more sense, Deere has always been there whenever I needed and I’m talking service that day or the next. The others just don’t have that kinda support. I’m a fanboy until it empties my pocket on shit I can’t use.

      Yes, was in some dense trees, and a large branch sprang back and got it. Unfortunate, but the machine was purchased to be put to work and not be a barn beauty.

    Having never had the opportunity to observe a large metal building installation, I am amazed by the complexity of even scheduling the sequential steps from start to finish. It has been informative and entertaining! You planned time saving measures for the electrical hookup. I am impressed! The completed building is spacious. Congratulations!

    The XL Big Green Egg nestled in that farm table fits neatly in that location. Aesthetically, this new setup perfectly compliments the space. Great choice! Thanks for the tips in replacing the Big Green Egg gasket.

    you had just mentioned moving that beast when I was at the store on Saturday, glad you got it moved to a secure location. I hope you stayed hydrated, that heat is no joke.

      It was miserably hot that day. Heat index of 116. I appreciated your reminder on keeping it plugged in with the a/c keeping things cooled off a little. I got that going today.
