arriva lopez one of the vest
im mexican but lopez my respect
I was there that day. I boxed as an amateur, and later as a pro...I was inspired to do so by the Rocky films.
Respect 🫡
Standing salute 🫡 ❤️🇵🇰🇬🇧
I know this video is 13 years old but I would like to say that I am Eds grandson he doing well and he lives with me and my parents and is still kicking and doing well and I am very proud of my grandfather
Rocky Movies is a cartoon joke, the most phony shit ever. The Boxing Hall Of Fame is a joke for putting Rocky in there.
Well deserved!
In the end you can see how excited Tyson was...he was a big fan You can see posters of Rocky in his training footages
Well deserved Mike
So many great fighters much respect
Omg this is terrible
That was a great speech, very deep on the metaphor of boxing with the struggle in life, and always with a dose of his self deprecating humour, and he may not have boxed competitively, but he does have boxing understanding and skills....and I would say he trained harder than a lot of boxers for those movies and got in tremendous shape and there is no doubt that the Rocky character and movies inspired boxers in the 70s, 80s, 90s and probably still today. He taught a lot of lessons to fighters via those movies too. The movies were training for fighters in and out of the ring.
The best boxer ever. Nobody have his records. Great
❤️
When they yell out Rocky tell me how can it get better than that it'd Rocky
I didn’t believe this so I had to look it up, this is pathetic
you are stupid
Chavez is one of the hardest geezers to ever walk the face of the earth.
Sly wrote the first Rocky film himself, it's one of the greatest films of all time, and it's inspired millions of people. Love the man always
I swear rocky could beat the other old 49 and oh rocksters
One of the best color commentator ever in Boxing. Legend.
I was there for this class what a tremendous weekend 🥊💥
0:20-0:28
Julio Cesar Chavez Looking at him at tryung his hardest not to crack up
Great job Richard !
Excellence Speechless here What Power !!!
Peleaba con puro bulto
What a beautiful BOXing STYLE thank you so much Orlando Canizales!!!!
The best bantweight boxer of all time.
There is so much boxing today I stopped going on the forums. So many Afro Latino fighters and now we, we come from great ancestors. That Incas, the Mayans, the Aztecs. The Songhai, the Egyptians before , Arab invasion but ethnicity and culture has nothing to do with boxing. We all lost our true cultures from European invasion. Many people who speak their8 Spanish. Spanish people were White people. We all lost our original languages like Nican Llaca many Mexicans and there are Afro Mexicans. When I started hearing all that trash I stopped watching. It breaks my heart man. Where did it all come from?
Featherweight on the cover on SI! YES SIR
He was a great warrior . Remember watching him when I was a kid .
Very well deserved. Thank you Rocky Balboa.
Omg this so stupid! He isn’t a real boxer!
No, you are the stupid one.
Professional fighters work hard to get to this point and he does a movie and gets in and I'm not saying the movie wasn't good its just he didn't technically fight his way to get in he played the role of a fighter but I guess he did do a good job playing the part.
He trained harder than a lot of fighters for those movies...and taught a lot of lessons to fighters in those movies too. The movies were training for fighters in and out of the ring.
Boxing won't be this famous if it wasn't for him and Rocky...so he deserves the respect Plus he worked his butt of everyday for years to be shredded and present himself as a professional world champion boxer
His Rocky movies alone are legendary. He needs to be in the hall of Fame no matter what. Even kids Gen Z Love his movies, that's how you know his movies are Great. Plus he helped Push the sport of Boxing to Different kinds of audience.
I was a sparring partner for his camps against sanchez
Al one of the great broadcasters of boxing. Congratulations Al, well-deserved IHOF!
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get it and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!” ~ Rocky
Watched Danny train at the Main Street in 78 & 79. Herman Montes and John Montes Jr. were his sparring partners, it looked like Danny's gloves were 18 or 20 oz. gloves. Such a great era of Boxing. L.A. was the Mecca of Boxing during that time. To enter the Main Street Gym back then, a fighter paid 25¢ a day and the trainer paid 50¢ to old Rip sitting on a stool by the entrance. Roberto Duran was training then, preparing for his rubber match with DeJesus RIP at 135lb.... Could go on and on naming all of the talent back then, but won't, because this is Danny Lopez's Moment. You gave us allot of thrills Danny, thank you and Be Well ~~
Fan of him in 2011 as well
People also sometimes forget that some or most of those punches in rocky were real, let’s see some people take a punch into the body or face with a 8 oz. glove
If Chavez would have fought mayweather in his prime chavez would have beat just like he beat mayweathers uncle Roger Chavez was a true fighter not a track star
Julio Cesar Chavez the greatest light weight boxer ever he was a true warrior never stopped coming at his opponent into he wore them down with body shots and combinations to the head we will never see another Julio Cesar Chavez inour lifetime inmy opinion at his weight class he was the goat. The only thing that beat him was Father Time
Even getting out at 27 he still has pugilism syndrome shame.
UN GRAN GUERRERO NUNCA LE CORRIO A SALVADOR SANCHEZ UN GRAN CAMPEON SALUDOS DESDE OREM UTAH
yo! there are too much people here are jealous and insecure haha😂
Hitman Hearns was the Greatest boxer
