Raising a baby squirrel named Whiskey.. He was found in a wall of a demolished house. He was cold, hungry and on the verge of dying at approximately a day old with umbilical cord still attached...he is a miracle boy. This is all about his journey to thrive and be loved.

No he doesn't. He will play but not bite down so far lol 😆 I've raised him since one or two days old, still had umbilical cord. Mom didn't come back because house got demolished and I tried to see if she would for 3 days but no such luck. So he thinks I'm his mom and he doesn't bite me and hasn't been around a lot of people so not sure if he would. He ignores the dog lol.

As a child, my dad found a naked baby squirrel on the ground still alive. He didn't know it was a squirrel at first due to it being naked. He bottle fed it and nursed him till he could be released. I have photos of me as a toddler as he was perched on the couch. He free roamed out house and had a heat lamp and a blanket. I love seeing squirrels friendly with humans. I wish I was old enough to have formed a bond with him.

@@Whiskeyjourney I feed 12 of them, outside of course not in the house, they can see me open the curtains, windows and come running, its funny when they all line up in a row on their hind legs begging, However I have never got a chance to get near them, when I put out water they scatter, even the 3 babies do, I have only been able to feed one, 1 time. One of the bigger more dominant ones has chewed 4 large holes in my screen and I caught him sticking his head in one day LOL, I know its not funny, I have to pay the landlord now for a new screen and he told me not to feed them🤔😒😒😇

Why do some people that pet animals always go for the eyes? That has to be a sensitive area no matter which type of animal.
When I softly caress his face he falls asleep on me. He seems to love being soothed like that ever since he was a newborn...Or else he'd run off if he doesn't like something as he often will do

Found when he was a day old, when I was tearing down an old shack he fell out of a wall panel, waited for mom to come back but under those circumstances probably scared her off, I didn't want the baby to die so I cared for him around the clock as a brand new baby...until now, 5 months later.

i love your cute boy i know it a lot of work have 15 lilttle friends my main squirrels know his name and your smart enough not to name a squirrel after a person they are not people, but almost. you'll have a good friend. They are smart.
