this is my experience of installing a head unit and connecting the existing reversing camera. Thanks to all the other guys who show how to pull the dash apart. The replacement cable is extremely expensive in Australia. I put heat shrink on my perished cable to try to extend its life.

Hi, i have a question about the steering wheel controls. On the harness there's a wire called Key1. Did you connected that to wire in the car, or did the steering wheel buttons just worked out of the box?

No. It was a computer sensor

There is a gasket kit available and there was a gasket against the block but not for the outer cover

Not sure about your model stereo/GPS antenna, but the Joying andriod unit allows you to place the GPS antenna under the dash. Unfortunately, I didn't have my 2012 Pajero when I ordered the unit and ordered the wrong wiring loom without the reverse camera (I didn't notice it when I took it for a test drive) but I have to say, the Joying is plug and play, awesome sound. Just waiting on the correct loom now

I had the same issue with my Lancer, with the cambus plugged in it just didn't work, unplugged it and everything is fine, my camera is after market. Just got a 2013 Pajero so looking at a new head unit for it. This Pajero has a rev cam but the screen is in the mirror.
Did you know that there is fuel tank filter that blocker on my NT ?. Pulled it out via access under driver,s rear seat, totally dirty with gunge. Caused vehicle to stall. Cleaned and on the road again. also fuel line was sucking air because hose clip on pickup line was leaking. Could be worth a look. Cheers Eric

Hello, I was wondering if you got to the bottom of your engine miss?
It just went away. Then after about 6 weeks it came back but even more randomly and less severe. I have a fuel SCV that I hope to swap out soon
Late last year I took it to another mechanic. They found an engine sensor had oil in it. Once replaced, she runs beautifully.
The problem seems to have just gone away on its own. So that's weird
Well done I wonder if you can spray that egr plug as well ??

I bought from isudar, and I have a Rockford system. so the car has a more complicated wiring harness, I built one myself from 2 sets. but of course couldn't get the reversing camera to work, but I'll try what you said. Good job, at least we didn't have to modify the interior, but I haven't gotten the buttons on the steering wheel to work, maybe I need a decoder to get it to work. I'm on the same boat, have the rockford fosgate originally, bought the exact same wiring patch, my new android unit detects the gear being in reverse, can see the guidelines for reverse but there's no picture from camera. Don't know where I went wrong...
Hi hope you have sorted out your problem but if not make sure your air filter is clean and i recommend to replace your fuel filter in the engine bay. Let me know if you have fixed the problem as i would like know what it was thanks.

Nice informative video with good explanation and video work. Just want to ask did you have and engine light on before you decided to do a clean of the Egr and intake manifold.
Sorry for the late reply. I have an intermittent cough at all rev ranges. No-one knows what's causing it
@@whoknew9592 Is there any engine codes?
@@whoknew9592 It could be a number of things but you need to test and look at things on a good engine scanner. One thing you can do is remove the suction control valve and clean the centre barrel after removing a cir-clip that holds it in place. Slide it out and look at it, it might be lightly scored on one side. Using 2000 grit sand paper lightly sand the score marks then give it a good clean with brake cleaner and reassemble and install. There are many videos online about it. Look down from the battery engine side with a torch at high pressure fuel pump and you will see a round silver suction control valve it has two Allen key bolts holding it and an electrical connector pug on the back of it. Cleaning this may fix your problem. Please let me know of your progress and if you have resolved the problem. Good luck.

@@whoknew9592 Dose the engine idle smooth. Hope the problem is gone forever but keep us posted. Video of engine running when cold in park with heater fan off would be much appreciated.
