A quiet escape in Osaka: Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine ⛩️ Japan #SlowTravelDiaries 🇯🇵 pt. 7
Hi, I'm Vi :) During my time in Osaka, I sought out some quiet places to visit, and Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine was perfect. A number of the popular shrines in Osaka tend to have a lot of visitors, so this shrine in Sumiyoshi Ward allows for a tranquil escape from the crowds while taking in the beauty of the shrine grounds. The striking vermillion of the arched Sorihashi Bridge and the glimmering water around it give the shrine a dream-like, Studio Ghibli-esque quality.

That’s great. Autumn will be lovely because of all the fall colours. Beyond Tokyo, Kyoto would particularly be more beautiful during that time. I believe they should have the Travelers Factory and Starbucks collaboration products because they had a wide range of merch available. I visited on a Saturday, so that probably also added to the busyness of the time. I hope you enjoy your travels in autumn! 🤗
