Does money minder have a way to pay national and state pta
Good question. MoneyMinder can accept online payments from payers who use either a credit card or e-check. You can use bill pay or a similar service with your financial institution to send a payment electronically to your state or national organization.
Hi MoncyEsther, we don't have a way to pay national or state PTA dues directly, but you could use our Store to collect the membership dues (via either credit card or e-check) and then pay them out yourself.

Another common use of cash on hand is for reimbursing people who make small purchases on behalf of the organization. To avoid that, I've started using Zelle to transfer the amount directly to their bank account (and of course uploading a copy of the receipt to the MoneyMinder record of the transaction ;-)). I only use Zelle for reimbursements to volunteers, not for paying bills. I'd be interested to hear if you think this is a good practice. -- Love your two-minute tips! Thanks!
Good idea Mike. As a volunteer myself, I understand the desire to make reimbursements quick & easy. The digital world is certainly changing how we function as volunteer Treasurers and how we need to look at various options that are available to us. There are pros & cons to all. And, of course, the best practice of having 2 signers on a check is probably becoming obsolete. Your method certainly makes for quick reimbursements. Venmo is another common option. Might I suggest that you also have the person you're reimbursing fill out a Reimbursement Form so you have a very clear paper trail and there are no questions or confusion when your annual audit comes around? I would be remiss if I didn't caution folks to be SUPER careful about making sure you're sending to the correct person (no transposition of numbers or letters since all it takes is knowing someone's phone number or email address to send money) or your money will end up in the wrong person's hands. And there's no way to get that back.
